In the terms and conditions it does say one per household I think..

Re Quidco?? So if you use a single voucher, you lose the quidco???

Ahh I only bought one of these from currys last week, although I got it for £90 so only missed out on the batteries. Quidco will track but usually won't verify.
#12
the 5 hddvd deal is definately worth getting. I sent it off and got my films posted within 2 weeks. The picture quality is superb and i definately recommend getting 300 hd-dvd as well.
#13

From memory that was how the first batch of HD DVD Drives were shipped. Think it was to sweeten the pill a little for the early adopters

does anyone know if they send your orginal receipt back to you ??? ( when you send of for the dvds)
#27
its says NOT to send original receipt ...
#28
Thanks for this, just ordered. (And voted hot)

Anyone know if we actually have to cut the barcode off the box? It says "The original barcode located on the outside of the Xbox 360 HD DVD player package".

Cheers
#29
Has anyone had a confirmation email?

I ordered this yesterday afternoon, paid via CC. However the order isnt showing in my order history and I havent had any emails from Currys about it.
#30

Just checked and its in my order history
#31

I cut the barcode off the box when i sent it in and photocopied the original receipt.

If its any help in film selection the prestige is a good film with superb picture qulaity and toyko drift is mediocre sunday evening trash (again with a great picture).

Point is that its NEVER ON OFFER, much like you don't get "buy 1 get 1 free" on games consoles. the HD DVD drive is never "£10" off.

£99.99 from game minus the £5 off voucher plus the quidco

But yer its a cheaper deal by a few quid
#36
i'm with dandoc o this
for the sake of a couple of quid
whats the rush?
#37
Silly question time

I have an LG HD ready Tv..no prbs there

But I have 2 brand new 360's neither with HDMI out..so going via component..

is it worth me getting one of these HD DVD players?
#38
From what I've read, there's not a lot of difference between hdmi and component, unless you're really nitpicking. I'll be watching on a computer monitor via a VGA cable anyway, dont have the money (or room) for a hdtv :)

I have the order in my history on curry's website, but no confirmation email that I can see.

I did however find those other batteries that someone mentioned (which are actually cheaper!)

The £1.48 rather than the £1.98 ones are out of stock. I have updated the first post with another £1.98 battery that is currently instock.
