beware of this company - they're awful.

i would much rather pay more £ than deal with them again.

As above, cheap imitation, cheaper elsewhere :-(

So tell me - something I've never understood about this site - here's a deal that everyone who has commented on (so far) has left a negative comment - suggesting that the deal isn't that good. And yet it ends up on the front page of the site.

How does that work?

Lots of people obviously think it is a good deal - Maybe most peope vote without reading the comments which suggest in this case that it is not such a good deal after all.

I think if it was clear it's an unofficial remote, it would be lower. I guess people have voted hot on the main page thinking it's official.

I agree.... Everyone has left a comment saying this is either no good or is cheaper elsewhere - yet it is on the front page of the site!

I thought it was rated "Hot" when the heat got over a certain level...? as my previous posts didn't reach the front page until they got over about 90+ and this is already on the front page with only 53!

:?

EDIT: ...Now down to 36!

save £ and use the controller?

I was under the impression that the front page of the site shows the most recently 'commented upon' thread. Or at least thats the way I have my front page set up to display.

I've had one of these.
Took ages to arrive, and it didn't work. If I'd paid any more for it I'd have sent it back, but as it was I ended up just chucking it in the bin.

The Deal Extreme one that someone posted earlier is a better bet.

got one of these when it was posted before.

These are total rubbish, they dont work unless you're within arms reach of your xbox.
MemoryBits themselves are absolutely rubbish, with my single order being despatched in 4 different packages over the course of 4 weeks. They always ignore your order queries and spam you on an almost daily basis, even though you opted oput of marketing mail.

I wouldn't use them if again if they were the last etailer on earth.

Rubbish product, rubbish seller.

I voted this down simply because it's Memorybits. They're a terrible company; I ordered a CompactFlash card last summer two weeks before my holiday. It didn't arrive in time, and still hadn't arrived when I got back (the item was marked as being "in stock"). It was a hassle to get my refund, and even once they agreed it took a few weeks to come through.

The reason they are so cheap is that they are Jersey-based (I think). This gives them certain tax breaks, which they claim to pass on to their customers. I've even heard reports of people receiving counterfeited products. It would not surprise me in the slightest with them.
