Cheers Captain,i've also got it ordered elsewhere, for my son, although with the postal strike on on Monday, we may not get it for Tuesday. I know some places are using couriers but ours is from Blockbuster and all it says is basically apologies for the possible delays.

Postal strikes called off until after the New Year!!

you can get this at 24.99 from Gamestation trading in various games.
£40 for this game is a lot. It will probably get it for £35 or less at the supermarkets when it comes out.

Voted hot as this is a good price and doesn't require any codes etc however I managd to get this game for £23.95 thanks to the littlewoods code that was posted here. Im still not sure why that deal was cold voted as it worked fine for me? I mean really £23.95 inc delivery for modern warefare 2!

were you emailed the code? If not they will probably come asking for it back. Littlewoods deals get voted cold because of this

It matters not whether this is a good deal or not - the fact is FPS games on consoles with joypads is wrong!

PC + Keyboard + Mouse FTW!!!

To some degree, I do agree. However, my PC is not going to run this at anything approaching satisfactory.
Plus the 360 community generally all have headsets, even though most talk inane drivel it can add a lot to multiplayer.

L4D2 is another kettle of fish, having played the 360 demo I'm definitely sticking to the PC version.

Code works, but that only makes the product £43.97 now, I've played the game already through a friend, it's amazing and really does live up to the hype so anybody hesitating because of the price, get it - it's well worth it !
#18
I dont think the supermarkets will drop the price, people will pay the £45 for it and they know it! Plus by now they've usually advertised their price by now. Tesco advertised their Fifa 10 (24.95, one weekend only deal) about a week before release!
Still heard nothing about a reduced price yet!

I'm sure the supermarkets will do some sort of offer on this on day of release,so i think i'll hang fire and wait for this
#20
I got it for £25.00 for the Xbox so this is expensive.
#21
Have pre-ordered mine from Blockbuster as they are opening up at 12:00am on monday night. tuesday morning :D , Think the price is £45 but you do get a £5 rental voucher with it so at least a little bonus.

As for the comment on FPS on a console is just wrong, i suggest they sit down and play COD for a while on a console, as a PC Gamer for well over 10 years i have adjusted to the PS3 and now find it great for COD much to my surprise, much nicer to be laying on your bed playing or sat on the sofa rather than at a computer chair.

They're almost certain to drop the price. It'll be a loss leader to get people through the door who may normally shop at one of the other supermarkets or their normal customers who may buy one of the other deals that they have in store at the door at the same time. Tesco knew they could get the full price for FIFA10 but had it on offer and they didn't do that out of the goodwill.

And you won't hear anything until the day before. Would ASDA really announce that they are going to sell it at £XX now? That gives Tesco too long to undercut and place adverts in national newspapers.

I ordered it via additions direct. It was £45.00. I then bought something else at a fiver then used the £25.00 off £50.00 promo code and got both items for £25.00 plus £3.95 P&P. :whistling:

PC + Keyboard + Mouse + No dedicated server = Epic fail

This game is going to be pointless on the PC as say a 170000 + petition signed by peeved off PC users, I shant buy it.

Good price for the X Box though

I agree with what ur saying mate, but they do usually announce it before hand. Asda and other rivals are going to find out the price soon enough anyway.
Have preordered with amazon, safest bet IMO since they usually match the supermarket offers and so will hopefully refund me the difference.
