£2.99 @ Testing
I just went to Comet to buy Perfect Dark Zero and also picked up Need for Speed Carbon for £2.99! How hot is that?

Can't find it on the web site. Whats the SKU? It'll be on the receipt.
#2
Got the receipt in front of me, but not sure what an SKU is. Where will it be?
#3
it will be a 6 digit number...might say product code beside it
#4
probably next to the item , a 6 digit number?
#5
was it marked as this price on the box?
#6
Product code is 356280. Yeah, it was marked as £2.99 on the security box, same as Perfect Dark.
#7
thanks - guess where I am heading later ;)
Which store was this BTW?
#8
I bought mine in the Preston, Lancs store at the Capitol centre. Bought bargain stuff from Comet before; if it's £2.99 in Preston it'll be the same in other stores.
#9
the SKU is not on the website.
#10
Could maybe ring on 08705 425 425. You can't usually reserve stuff but they'll let you know which stores have it.
#11
very good price but not able to collect from my nearest store (lincoln) missed out on perfect dark and psp snooker 'cos they're not available at my store
#12
Good if you can find it.
#13
Really want this game for the Wii, pity there's so similar bargain!

Be wary. I've made a trip to Comet before having reserved a game online only to be told that they didn't have stock and couldn't explain why the system said otherwise. I was not happy...

I've heard that others have experienced the same.
#15
Just been to Comet in Torquay. No Need for Speed Carbon and Perfect Dark was £4.99 rather than the £2.99 advertised on the website.

Thats the Comet I'll be going :), is there plenty more NFS and PFD games available or was there just the one copy??

Cheers

Order online and pick up instore. They are probably pricing at the old price. If in doubt ask checkout to tell you correct price.

There were a couple of copies of both Need for Speed and Perfect Dark left, but that was fairly early this morning... Goog luck! :)

I was more interested in Need for Speed Carbon than PDZ, and NFSC is not on the website to reserve online.

I've just experienced this at lunchtime, was not happy at all!! System showed 5 in stock, apparently they couldn't find them, there's a surprise!

I even asked the woman if it was because they'd been put by for staff and she claimed they hadn't.

Not surprised to hear this isn't the first time this has happened to someone
#23
anyone been to the carlisle store? its about 5 miles drive in heavy traffic from where i am so is it worth travelling there fo rit?
#24
Just come back from Comet, only had like 6 different games there. Weird
#25
The bloke i spoke to in Comet today , was very upfront, stating that staff snap up the clearance games, though as head office don't seem to update them on the price changes, they only realise when the reservations come through............

I just went next door and purchased the game i wanted 'Perfect Dark Zero' from Currys through their price-match which includes 10% of the difference, so as they are selling it at £14.97, I only paid £1.79!

Xbox 360 FIFA 2007 @ £4.99 Instore at my local Comet in Hanley, Staffordshire. Had about 4-5 copies on the shelf.

HTH someone.

Went into the local Comet in Ayr (Scotland) after the website siad Reserve and Collect not Available. Viva Pinata still at 39.99 and they didn't seem to know about the games being reduced.
#28
Just went and picked up PDZ and Viva pinata for £7.98! Quite suprised i got them!
Although it wasnt without pushing a bit for them as the guy that served me stuck in my reservation number on the system and when it came up he said 'viva pinatas only £5!?' 'yep its good isnt it' i replied.
He then went and searched the shop floor for the game, when he returned I said to him, why arent you looking in the backshop because the games have been reserved it wouldnt be on the shop floor because that would defeat the object of reserving...
He mumbled something like 'ye but sometimes we dont have it'. I asked him to go and check so he went upstairs and asked someone to go and check for him and low and behold, the other man returned with my games!
#29
cheapest games in my local store was £9.99
#30
I tend to find the staff at this store to be tossers, very rude and have the social skills of dust

I have tried a few times when these offers arise at Comet and have been blatently told you havent a chance of ever getting the games as the staff snap em up to ebay for profit, so unless your local store has old biddies working there who couldnt care i wouldnt waste too much time looking for these so called deals.:x
#31
Just been to stockton store and picked up the last copy of PDZ marked as £9.99 and scanned as 2.99. 1 copy of viva pinata left, but they couldnt find it out back.

Then i went to the local PC world and picked up the wireless bundle with forza 2 / viva pinata and a wireless controller.

It was plastered in not for sale without an xbox console, but he either didnt notice, or care so i bought it and went happily on my way.
#32
Judging by the comments made since I posted this deal I've obvously just been very lucky! Sorry guys.
#33
cheapest 360 game i've bought so far! swung by my local comet on the way home and they had one on the shelf! bargain!... just gota wait for my 360 to come back from repair after the 3 red lights....
#34
Reserved NFSC @ £4.99 a while back and there was trouble getting that @ Comet...
And again, reserved a wireless bundle and there was trouble getting that 2. But after asking to speak to the manager on both occasions... WHA-LA they appeared. Collective bunch of toss pots.
Amazing @ £2.99 if you can get it, but do not hold your breath.
#35
just spent 1.5 hours in driving to 3 comet stores, not one had need for speed or pdz
