#4
Ideal if you have the Turtle Beaches, only other way to get one is in pack with the official HDMI cable. Nice find OP.

Just put my 360 on ebay, this thing was in the box but I didn't even know what it was so couldn't mention it :P

Funny that it should pop up here, complete with explanation and an idea of its second hand worth just a couple of hours later.....

This is a really hot deal, bought an unofficial one off ebay for £2.50 last week couldn't find an official one for less than £5. £1.50 - Bargain!
#7
Fantastic price if you need one.

These dongles pre-slim release were quite hard to find.

They aren't - plenty left in the stores.

I bought one for £6 or so last year, it was a godsend for redirecting the audio to my amp.

Does anybody know another retailer that sells these for around the same price?

Unfortunately there aren't any in the CEX's local to me and if I'm going to buy the Turtle Beach headset that I reserved then I'm obviously going to need it unfortunately.

They look to be around £2-2.50 on Ebay shipping from HK.

The only place I've seen them individually is on eBay, and you can never be sure they are the real thing. Your best bet is to pick up the official 360 HDMI lead as the audio adapter comes with it. Or you could ask your friends with Elite systems, initial stocks of the Elite came with the audio adapter (although later Elite models did not).

Then there is the modding option, I posted this in a thread for XLCs;

Your XLCs should have came with a rca splitter cable in the box, connect that to the red and white pins of your component or composite cable.
If you use HDMI lead you either have to get the 360 audio adapter or mod your composite or component av cable so that they can be plugged in at the same time. If you down the 2nd route, wrap some electrical tape around it for safety.

Yeah I don't really fancy cracking open one of my component leads tbh, surely an unofficial one should work though shouldn't it, I mean I know that the ones being sold on Ebay from HK will be 100% fake but they should do the job and if they don't then you can always just raise a dispute with PayPal.

Should be fine, my unofficial one from Hong Kong works a treat :)
