IMO disgusting to buy a used controller pad

I used to backup GAME and Gamestation for their online Preowned products..

I WOULD NEVER buy a preowned console or accessory from the GAME group online again, only instore.

The last 3 consoles I ordered turned up faulty and with the wrong accessories.

GAME and Gamestation fix their own consoles in their own Warehouse somewhere and wheoever is 'fixing' them honestly doesn't give 2 .... !

BTW.. on that note.. voted COLD.

I wondered how long it would take for people not to be happy about used items again, same happened when they were last in stock 6 weeks ago.

Don't want to get into the debate about used controllers, loads sell on ebay and amazon daily, so people do buy them, if it's not your taste then fair enough, but why look on a used controller deal?
I'm only linking to the place that's the cheapest which also offers warranty and free returns, please feel free to link to any where even near or cheaper :-).

Remember that if you buy it and it comes in bad condition then you can return it to free to a store or you can use the label provided to return it also for free. LINK

Im advising people of my experience james and why i think its a bad deal.

The return to store feature is good but when you have to return items more than once it becomes a joke.

Only buy consoles and accessories from GAME online when they are new.

I'm sorry you've had bad experiences buying consoles from them, but you're advising people of your experience with buying consoles (your last 3), and also stated that they fix consoles in a warehouse. i'd take your point if this was for a console but it's not, this is a deal for a controller . . .

Worst case scenario you get the controller it's not up to your standards (or wrong item arrives) and then you can return it for FREE!

how is it different from buying anything else used that is often held?

Considering that new ones drop to £15 from time to time and the d-pads wear ridiculously quickly, I'd just wait tbh.
    the cool
I'm not even bothered about it being dirty or whatever, easy enough to give it a good clean. But the d-pads etc will be well worn out which ruins games.

    don't you mean thumbsticks?
    the cool
    aye u are right.

also the buttons get sort of stiff after a while. iv got a couple old ones where the A button is pretty stiff from use.

Is it even possible to replace the rubber/plasticky covering on the thumbsticks when it's worn off? And with what?

Free bogies included in all used controllers

Yea u can replace the thumbsticks. They're like £2-3 on ebay. I've done it before. Pretty easy but means opening up your controller. Doesn't really matter though cause the sensitivity of the thumbsticks wears (replacing thumbstick doesn't solve this) out too, so they start moving by themselves or are too sensitive. Plus like I said popular buttons like the A button start to suck.

Well as this deal is at 124 degrees then i'm guessing at least 124 people would consider buying it . . .

Where are they £15? When were they last £15?
£20.69 from sainsburys (new customer code though) is the cheapest they have been this month . . .

Obviously used controllers are not for everyone, you could get a controller in like new condition, you could get one in a right state, it's free returns so what's the risk? Apart from you could get a decent controller for cheaper than anywhere else :-).

It amazes me how many comments about dirty controllers, if you don't like used items then why click on a deal that's clearly labelled as used!
    the cool
Don't know about £15 but they've been below £17-£18 from play and thehut in the past.
