Oh, and meant to add as well - this bundle only adds £6 above the normal DSGi price, and £12 on the Play.com price.

Specs ain't quite right - They've been capable of 1080p since an update a couple of years ago.
#3
also Amazon is £159.99 + £10 for the 'wireless entertainment pack' (double game pack and controller) free delivery.
Although Im sure the good blaggers here could get a slightly better deal at game.

Edit: stock item 984740 is £175.18 and is the 'wireless entertainment pack' as per Amazon + Lego Batman, but out of stock.

Hot! Thank you. I've been searching for a good deal on the 360 60gb for weeks. I'm set to finally buy one this weekend. I like the Curry's deal with the 3 games and extra controller (need 2 controllers).

If anyone knows of a better option, please let me know. Thank you.

Aye, hopefully something good will crop up. The 'better option' thing is largely why I posted this. It's the best deal I could find out of the highstreet (HMV, Gamestation, Dixons) and the best I could find out of the interweb (Play, Amazon, eBay, Sendit), but I was hoping someone could pull something good out.

242 degrees, I was really hoping it'd be minus about that number. Ey, well.

Good price for this. As an alternative, Play have just reduced the price of the 20gb premium to £130 - probably get another 5% off this if the RAC voucher is still about.

Aha, excellent. This was exactly the kind of post I was looking for. Cheers, and rep'd!

Voted hot! Can someone explain to me why the 60GB are better than 20? New games are on discs, so is it only for mp3s?

thanks

Do the premiums still come with the 30 day Live gold offer that they used to?

I think the two bonuses you get with the 60GB are that you can download more content from Live, and you can install more games to the harddisk

Me though, I've bought the 20GB model, since the 20GB drive can be swapped for a much larger drive if you take a screwdriver to the caddy and follow an online guide. You can buy a 320GB drive for only around £50, so assuming that's compatible, it'll give you plenty of space for all the games and everything.

"TopCashBack.co.uk to claim your 4% cashback"

Didnt think you could include the cashback site discount in the published price on here?

I agree the Play offer looks good value.

What is the difference between the 20gb and 60gb versions? Is the 60gb one the newer version and have better hardware with less chance of the RROD? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

PS: This will be my first system purchase since my 8bit NES (which is still working and I still have hooked up)

Turns out, the 20GB version doesn't come with an HDMI port. See that bit in the Play.com description where it says it does? It lies.

Thanks dxx, I just bought the 60 GB one, because all that stuff about old models breaking down worries me. will change the hard drive at some point if necessary (I did that on the Advent 4211 I got from pc world... btw, what a cool device)

Sorry to hear about the HDMI port if you wanted one. I'm sure if play.com really lied you'll have no problem getting a refund!
