Microsoft has annouced official price cut from friday of 60gb Premium to £169.99 - see following link :

This is only a 20gb model so not a great deal I think - worth waiting until Friday as there will be some good deals around the corner I believe.

I was in two minds about this earlier, but couldn't decide whether to wait til friday or not. I know it only has 20gb memory but it does have the extra wireless controller worth £30, so if you're not bothered about lack of memory then is it a good deal???? Still not sure. Voted hot from me though:)

20gb HD - not 60Gb. Cold.

With the facility to shortly install games onto Hard Drive, I think extra 40gb's of space could be very useful, especially as the drives are notoriously loud when spinning the disk.

Lukewarm from me.

It's a good deal if you don't care about the extra 40GB HDD space as you get the extra controller, but as many others have mentioned the price drop comes into effect this Friday.

WOOHOO! Thanks for posting the link my friend, I probably wouldn't have found out otherwise and dished out and extra £30 before friday. Rep left!

The original thread with news of the price drop should have been left in the deals section. Something tells me a few companies are going to try to offload some old 360s this week and they are going to pop up here as a result. (Not having a dig at anyone, its easy news to miss)

Hey ho, such is life.

I would think these xboxes are old stock (being 20Gb models) and so probably not using the falcon (65nm) chipset, and therefore prone to the Red Ring Of Death (tm). I would rather wait until friday and pick up a new cooler-running, quieter and more reliable 60Gb one.

Most HDMI units will be Falcon chipsets anyway and it's fair to add that these are also prone to failure too. You're much more likely to get a Hitachi drive in these units than a Lite-On, if that's your flavour.
