No, it's currently £314.99, but that's only for 4 games (so this is a great deal).

Nice post jcooper, voted hot and given rep. :)

Wait till the 360 elite comes out in summer time, then the premium will drop to the £250 mark and you'll save some moneys.

The 360elite hasn't even got a europe release date - i'm guessing it won't be available until December/January at the earliest

Or, don’t buy one in the first place. They'll only break down on you and if its not within the warranty, you'll have to fork out another £90 to get it fixed.

Had mine since launch and honestly never had a single problem, no red lights nothing (and use it every day). Same goes for two friends who've also had no trouble. :)

slightly off subject but...

I was wondering if someone could help. Thinking of buying a 360 premium package but a bit concerned about making the internet connection.

the xbox will be too far from the broadband modem to wire it up so i was thinking of connecting it with an ethernet cable to my PC (which is connected wirelessly to modem). I'd really try and avoid the expense of a wireless adapter.

Will this work?

Many thanks.

(ps, at what price would this http://www.johnlewis.com/Computing/Gaming/Gaming/Consoles/1970/230406136/Product.aspx be a good deal?)

You'd have to bridge the internet connection from the PC - easy to do in XP (highlight both network adaptors, select Bridge). I'd use a dedicated connection myself - see the Belkin game adaptor (I've just bought from eBuyer for £30 after £10 off) if you don't want to fork out for the MS adaptor.

When it comes to networking, and network response, introducing complexity will always result in an under performing solution.

Thanks!

I forgot to mention that my PC is running Vista Business. Will this complicate matters? (my experience of vista so far is that it almost certainly will!)
