lolz, well been told its gonna be instore, dont know about online.

Definitely true dudes. Unless they make a last minute decision and tell us to scrap all the graphics they sent.

Not sure about online to be honest, possible but can't say yes or no until friday ;)

OH and also i think it may be slightly cheaper than £166.99...only pennies cheaper.....i can't remember the VAT reduced price the console is. Its £166 something......

Nice, doesn't beat the Additions Elite with £30 voucher offer recently, but a good deal.

No - That would require the HD-DVD addon. The inbuilt drive is a DVD

I'll be picking one of these up tomorrow!
#11
Was going to pick up the XBOX Premium bundle with Lego Indy and the extra controller for £176. I'll be holding out till tomorrow.

Thanks
#12
I'll be looking to ebay the games and extra controller so I hope they aren't in the equivalent of the Wireless Entertainment pack.

I'm fairly sure the games come all together in one case....probably 2 disks....that says bundle copy or something on the front to prevent trade ins and stuff. Thats what it was like for the lego indiana jones + kung fu panda one.

Just so you know ;-)

Trade in may be affected but why couldn't you sell on eBay?
#17
Superb deal, Xbox's are so cheap nowadays!
#18
Thanks OP, i was just thinking about forking out for one and decided to look on HUKD.

Glad i did!
#19
is it a jasper?

dmce
is it a jasper?

Would that be "Conran" or "Carrott"
#21
wow, great find!
#22
If this is instore what do you reckon the chances of haggling for different games are? I know people managed this with the ps3 deal in hmv before xmas.

I'm not sure what to do, I was holding out for the much touted ps3 price drop but at this price surely the xbox is a better bet?
#23
If i go into town tomorrow, i'll be at lunchtime and i want to make sure i get one: Shidoh (or anyone), what is HMV's policy on holding stock? Will they hold one until lunchtime for me?
#24
Which versions of these have HDMI now?
#25
I just called my local HMV manchester, and they said they will have it but for £176.00, i asked if that includes the VAT reduction and they said "yes" :(

He said he will eBay the games, not trade them :) A bundle is fine.

All with 60GB HDD have HDMI. You'd be hard-pushed to buy one without HDMI these days, unless it has been in the stock room for 12+ months.
#28
HMV Nottingham didn't really know what was going on. He could find a 60GB bundle with Burnout Paradise, Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble, but couldn't find a price as his system hadn't been updated.

This is why people shouldn't vote hot until the deal actually exists! Not that it won't turn out to be true but this is hot and isn't available yet.
#30
I'd be tempted as long as I knew I was getting HDMI.

Dont want to seem dense and I cant use google atm (internet so damn slow) but do these xboxs have an optical port I can use with my Z-5500?

cheers.

P.s anyone know where a cheap optical cable is?
#31
My old 360 did on the Cable (there was an optical connector on the connector!!), it was a component cable but I doubt they'll remove it due to HDMI, as only Sony offer reasonable priced HDMI passthroughs. However I can't say for sure. However it is likely that only the official M$ HDMI cable has this optical connector and you only get that in the Elite (available seperately though).

Nice deal :)

I didnt even vote!!!

UPDATE:

I called another Manchester store and they said the deal was going to be on Friday, the same day the New DSi comes out, so the staff member said i could come and pick one up today (which i did) as it was going to be hetic tomorrow.

Xbox 360 Premium Console with 60GB HDD + Burnout: Paradise - The Ultimate Box + Trivial Pursuit + Connect 4 + Extra Wireless Controller for £166.37

GOOD TIMES!

Im not really into to the trivial pursuit game where can i sell or trade it, tried CEX and fleabay...doesnt seem to much interest in it!!
#34
Excellent deal, but i suspect they'll sell out fast today.

I'll ring the one in town as soon as they open and ask.
#35
just called the store (Birm) and they said this package is £176
#36
Student discounts available with standard University student ID?
#37
They never used to do Student discount on consoles.

Sounds like it's not nationwide - however I'll have a look when I'm in town tomorrow to see, I need a new one after my launchy died just out of the 3-yr warranty.
#38
Just bagged one in HMV Reading. At the advertised price
#39
I just picked one up in HMV moorgate. It's not advertised so I had to ask for it. Initially it was priced wrong £225 but they corrected it for me.

Comes with the new wireless entertainment pack (revised version of the old one). My lot number is 0908x which seems to be a Jasper as well. Very pleased!

£166.37 :)

just called hmv solihull. guy said they have them in stock at price advertised. will be picking one up later
