The PRFREEDEL code is for items over £149 I believe.

Great price for this .. thanks emma

Hmm am definetley tempted. Really want a 360, been holding out for a good deal for months, but now theres a few and im not sure where the best deal is.
I figure that i'll eventually want another wireless controller, and also PGR 3. But i can get that in the newly released £299 bundle.
But i figure i could buy the one from currys, buy a controller, costing roughly £265, altogether, with £35 left to buy a newer game.
Hmmm.... Decisions, decisions.
Plus Toys R us are doing those big 4 game bundles for £299.

OOoooh life used to be soooo simple... will I have the sherbet dip, or the packet of bikers... I don't know...
#10
Ha exactly!
I wait around for a deal then a few come around at once, and im stuck for which one.
Im favouring the Project Gotham 3 Bundle which comes with a wireless controller, for £299. But nowadays the actual console itself can be found for about £260, which kinda brings the value for money idea of the bundle down.
Its just a shame they don't do the bundle in Currys, i'd have had it with the 10% off.

they do bundles in currys !!!

have a look on there site cos im tempted in buying the premium xbox with football manager £309 before reductions
#12
Nah the bundles there are well over priced.
You could pick up football manager somewhere else for £17.99, and the console would only be £249. so thats only £267, and im sure the reduction doesn't bring it down to that, does it?

But thinkng of it.....

Amazon are currently selling a bundle that consists of PGR3, and a wireless controller. These bundles are supposed to be sold with the consoles, as part of the £299 deal, though amazon are naughtily selling them seperately.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000IACMTO/ref=pd_rvi_gw_1/026-4555316-1888407?ie=UTF8

£250 Console through currys, £39 for controller and game.
Thats only £290, shaving £9 off the retail price for the PG3 bundle, for an xbox 360, with a game and 2 controllers.

games station have good offers instore at the moment i got my xbox 360 last week was 309.99 for the pgr3 bundle with dead rising
#14
Hmmmmm good thinking....

im currently lookin for a 360 and want the best deal (just like yourself..but i also want a 27inch lcd HD tv :) lolol )

i think this £250 premium console is gud, plus footy manager off ebay (£25 is the cheepest iv seen for this game) then a wireless contronller from PC world with a game for £20 (if they full fill it)......

thats £295, for premium console, x2 games (footy manager & PROJECT GOTHAM RACING 3) and x2 wireless controller

(plus any discount from quidco...)

sounds good to me....what do yous thinks ?
#15
quick question.....

why do you not get a remote with the premium version but you do with the core ?? am i missing something or do you get it ??
#16
surely there are bound to be loads of XBOX360 offers over the next month -- what with the Nintendo Wii coming out.

I'm contemplating getting a XBOX360 but I'm waiting for a better deal to tempt me to open my wallet :)
#17
hahaha....does £250 not sound like a good deal ?? does to me !!! i think with the put back of the PS3 there might be some panic buys in a few months time for christmas, then i think retailers will put the price up !!!
#18
An even better deal that I have tried and will let you know if it works out.

LXDirect have the 360 Premium for £279 - 10% code = £251.10
Go through Quidco and you should earn another 4.5% which is = £10.35

So it works out £240ish

Lead time is 2 weeks but it could be sooner......

I will let you know if they accept the code!

Can someone let me know how the PC World deal works. When I search for PGR3 and wireless controller it seems to be £60 or £70!!!

Thanks emma. This just doesn't seem to work though. I never get the option of adding that bundle for £20. Can anyone fill me in?
#22
Is there a particular bundle you have to add as there seem to be loads with Saints Row!

Go to pcworld site
click on xbox360 console with saints row (click picture to view, not add to basket)
Description page appears with PGR3 + controller option on right hand side

:)

Cheers dave, all sorted! Can you only collect from store and not have them delivered? My local store is quite a way away and I'm without a car, so don't really want to go all the way over there if they might say no!
#25
Damn, the 10% code says has expired....
#26
this is a good deal, but I think you would end up spending less if you went for the gamestation deal.
#27

Great offer, was about to get it this morning and found it had expired; although we can use a £20 off and free delivery code (as someone else has posted already) to get it for about £250 ish.

True, you could do that as well :)

Welcome to the forums dan!!

There's a new code for the 10% off, so I've attached it to this deal, and update the first post - and clicked "Not expired" - it's £2 more than when I first posted though...!
#33
Thanks - great stuff, although I wonder whether the price will come down by much before Christmas ...
#34
Either way - very tempting!
#35
10% now expired, dammit

I would expect from early nov on that these deals may become harder to get hold of. Most high street and the larger online retailers make a large share of there profits over the xmas shopping period and they generally try to keep the prices high enough to at least get some profit, despite the best efforts of the HUKD squad.

Cost at Boots.com (with 10% voucher and leaving delivery as free standard) is £251.99.
