sounds like an excellent deal to me. Best one in a while.
#2
yeah, pretty nice - dont suppose you can use the rental vouchers for buying S/H games? If so, even better!
#3

Thanks berba, rep added, it is indeed in today's metro. Sorry dont have access to a scanner but the advert does not make any reference to hard drive size.

^ was under the assumption its the 60gig model

it says on the ad

"XBOX 360 Premium"

and it also claims rrp is £169.99

so im guessing its a 60gig

im gonna get down to blockbuster tomorrow morning i think and ill get one if it is as advertised

ill try and swap fifa for pes somewhere and then im sure ill get £30 ish for deadspace on ebay

I contacted a local blockbuster store.
They confirmed they have a 60 gig xbox 360, plus fifa09 plus deadspace plus £20 of vouchers for £169.99.

The vouchers will get you £2 off the price of a new game or a rental at a time. There are 10 of these to make up a total of £20 off, but it is obviously spread across 10 items.

The guy at the store said they can't change the games it comes with, but they will allow you to trade them in for new/other games but they will value these 2 bundled games at £15.99 each for the purposes of the trade in. i.e. Gears of War 2 is £34.99, so you can trade in fifa09 and add a further £19 cash (£17 if you use one of the vouchers this deal comes with).

The trade in aspect sounds pretty terrible.
However, overall ,this is a very good deal in my opinion.

Shame they won't let you choose alternative games as neither of the bundled games are to my taste.

HOT deal.

I'm tempted by Fifa and dead space and have about £40 in credit at BB so might get this.

We've never bought anything from Blockbuster, but the hubby is interested in this deal. Is it hard to return if there is a problem? If so, I'd rather buy it elsewhere.

my local blockbuster were excellent when i developed a problem with my ds. they gave a brand new replacement straightaway and since it was new the warranty started again from that date

dont no if people realise, but blockbuster price match + £1.....i have done it a few times in the one by me but they are never happy to do it and sometimes kick up a fuss so just stand your ground...
cex offer
dead space £32
fifa £28
so plus xtra £2 you can get £62!!! not bad at all.

Looking for Xbox 360 as a Xmas present and had been scouring the papers for the best deal to get Gears of War 2. However I found this ad in the Sun and felt it was a great deal. I will probably sell the games quite quickly for best prices on ebay and this should bring the price of the 60GB down to about £110-120. Might even be able to sell the Blockbuster vouchers as well as they are not specific to my account. As stated previously they wouldn't swap any of the games listed in the deal for any other.

Already have a premium from January 06 which has never failed me so hope I am as lucky with this one,

On a different note I went to Gamestation to price match Gears of Wars 2 with Sainsbury's and initially got the runaround with "we don't price match with supermarkets". After being unable to show me this in the terms and conditions the manager agreed to the deal.

hot for me, thanks

good post HOT thanks:):)

Good deal. I got £44 trade in on the 2 games. I then used that credit to get Halo 3 and Gears of War together preowned for £18, leaving me credit for accessories and more games in the future.

Voted hot.

Just went and picked up one fo these deals from a Blockbuster in Newcastle. There doesn't seem to be much flexibility with the games, but as they didn't have Dead Space in stock, I got the new Smackdown and Fifa, the 60gb console and a book of 10x£2 vouchers for £170 - fantastic deal

I wonder in Gamestation will price match this?
#29
Doubt they price match bundles...

Also, Gamestation sucks.

Does anyone know if this offer is still on as it seems better than the Argos Deal?
#31
Called Blockbuster in Newquay today and they told me they still had this package but it is £179.99 :?
#32
I was very lucky, the lady was so kind. She allowed me to change the games to COD 5 and gears of war 2 for £175. ::p
#33
Is this still on
#34
No. The offer finished on sunday unfortunately.
