Xbox 360 PREMIUM pack plus one game ( a choice of blue dragon and an other ) for £168.99!

Went into Blockbuster today to trade in a Wii game ( thanks to the post on HUKD ) and came close to leaving with a 360! I think this is a CRACKING price for a second-hand xbox360 with a SIX MONTH GUARANTEE. Before I go back and get one I am posting this deal firstly to inform others but also to see if anyone knows of a better deal?

INSTORE DEAL ONLY ( I think )

The console price is £179.99 at blockbuster, If you buy a "voucher pack" for £25 you get 20% knocked off ANY used console. So £179.99 less 20% is £143.99 PLUS £25 ( cost of the "voucher pack" ) = £168.99.

You also get 10 FREE rentals with the voucher pack ( this can be for ANY game OR DVD ) PLUS you can get 20% off ANY used console games!!

The way I see it is if you are wanting a used 360 it's a Brilliant price PLUS you get the added benifit of a 6 month guarantee for your peace of mind.

second-hand xbox360 :(

wouldnt trust this

Sorry cold for me, could be banned on live and with all the hardware issues i would not be tempted.
#3
im on my 4th 360 due to the bugs, would never buy a used one for sure, may as well chuck money down the drain:giggle:
gona invest in an elite instead, fingers crossed all the hardware/software bugs ironed out

The whole point of buying from a reputable dealer with a six month guarantee is, if you have any problems, you can take it back!!!!!
#5
The 3 year warranty should still apply to these as well providing the original warranty sticker was still in place. If the unit is banned for some reason it would be grounds for an exchange I would say. Good deal for a premium IMHO. voting hot.

nope you still would need to send it to MS for them to fix a 3 light ROD...

that would take 3-4 weeks.

And the 3 year warranty is only on the 3 red lights, nothing else.

That's the main reason i posted this....can you still get it at £199? Can you get it elsewhere? Where is cheapest?

You may or may not have the same problem when buying a used 360 from anywhere!!! Where can you get it cheaper? ( they are selling on Ebay above this price! )

I am calm, I am just not hearing about a better deal for a used ( or new ) 360 premium pack, and yet still this post is getting cold votes!

So you have 6 months of full cover from the retailer and the additional back up of the RROD 3 year cover. I'm sure if the unit failed it would be pretty easy to induce the RROD if required. Certainly not a cold deal because I'd say this is the cheapest you could get a working Premium console from a reputable retailer out there.

Whilst that's true, the 3 year warranty would be from the console's original date of purchase (or in the absence of a proof of purchase likely to be from the manufacture date) so you could end up with much less than 3 years cover for the RROD.

Having had my first 360 fail last week (just under 6 months old, not the RROD so not covered by the extended warranty) I wouldn't personally chance a used console.

The risk of receiving a console that had already been banned from Xbox Live would also put me off but you could take it back and get it exchanged if that were the case to be fair.

Did that include postage etc because, if it did, you were VERY lucky.

I expect it was a broken one and then sent off to be repaired.

wow, you can tell all that from his post..

Extended warranty with hdd with postage was £132 bargain i think

i can see a brand new one on ebay now £195 PE6 pack, collection only.

would rather spend £20-£50 and get a new one, if this was a first edition it would be almost 2 years old now.

I would rather have a new one but i am looking for the best/cheapest option. I would say that buying off ebay is more risky than buying used.

Fair assumption to make considering a lot of people have been doing that.

I think it's fair to assume M$ have issue with hardware on the 360 seen as the admit it and stuck a billion quid aside to deal with it :whistling:

Well I have decided to postpone my visit to blockbuster until tomorrow.................unless of course someone out there can show me somewhere cheaper to get an xbox360 premium?

Sounds a bit too good to be true, are you sure this voucher works on a used console?
A second hand premium on ebay is going for about £220 at the moment including a game and delivery, so this deal with the warranty and free rentals would be great if true. Been waiting for a decent 360 deal for ages!!

yeah its all true

what your getting is pretty much staff discount on the console. (20%)

the free rentals booklet is a promotion they are doing atm, you have untill december 31st to use all the rentals and the other vouchers contained within it. You can use the free rent vouchers on all games for rent, tv boxsets ( which cost £5 - £7 for a weeks rental) and all dvd's to rent.

they are covered for 6 months so if something did go wrong you just take it back and youd get another one.

You gotta be a member to get to booklet though, but all you need is some id.
