Then using the £10 off voucher it comes down to £370. Then using your egg card this weekend it brings the bundle down to £333.

seems very expensive for a premium given some of the recent posts, even with the hd-drive taken into consideration! Also, not everybody has an egg card to get it at this price, so i'm going to have to vote cold.
#2
I think that's a good price but unfortunately i don't have an Egg card and a lot of people don't either, so it's not a great deal because it's less accessable to a lot of people.
#3
I disagree. Hot.

How can you vote cold because you dont have an egg card?
Just because you (or I for that matter) dont qualify doesnt make it a bad offer.

£333, sell the HD for £100... £233 for a premium with 2 quality games.
How on earth is that a bad deal?

I think the headline price shouldn't include the Egg discount, the same way as Quidco discounts are not shown, only added as extra.:)

I didn't actually vote on the deal, so it hasn't changed in anyway, like i said, i believe it's a good price, it's just a shame that it's restricted to Egg customers.

Has anyone actually checked if the discounts work, as i entered the xbox 360 bundle and added the Hd player on the next screen and there was no £30 discount on the HD player as the OP suggested?

EDIT: It works through the OP's link but don't forget the delivery charge as well.

"Then using the £10 off voucher it comes down to £370. Then using your egg card this weekend it brings the bundle down to £333."

Which voucher do you refer to? (Edit: I found it: 10APR07)
How does the Egg deal work?

You get an egg card via quidco thereby receiving cashback.
Then you buy this, once the transaction appears on your bill, you will get an automatic 10% refunded to your credit card account.

Thanks. I already have an Egg card but not via quidco, so can i still get the 10% refund?

Added. I checked the Egg site and the 10% cashback has nothing to do with quidco it seems, just a straightforward cashback:

Egg give cash via quidco when you apply successfully for their card.
If you make a purchase via the link on the egg website at dixons, you will receive 10% instant cashback on your account. I have tried this using quidco and not thru the egg link and have always been 100% successful getting egg discount and quidco.
Hope this helps

Thanks again. I'm still not clear on a few points:
I have an Egg card so I'll get the 10% provided I go through the Egg Dixons URL.
I have just opend a quidco account and haven't digested how it works yet. They state 3% for Dixons and when I clicked the link from quidco it went straight to the normal Dixons URL. How do you then claim the Dixons/quidco cashback, after the event?
#13
I suggest the deal should be amended to show the price without the Egg 10% and then add in brackets that Egg have a 10% cash back with Dixons at the moment. People are marking this down because of the presentation, not because of the deal; it’s misleading and its bugging people.

Thanks for the pointer frozenis :)

Ok, to claim the 10% you are supposed to follow the URL on the egg website.
However, anytime I make a purchase of dixons, I go to the quidco site, follow the link on quidco which takes me to the dixons site.
I make the purchase using my egg card.
As a result, my quidco account shows 3% of what I have spent and my egg card statement gives me the 10% cashback - normally 5%.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers. When I went through quidco to Dixons the URL was the normal Dixons one so I guess they are using another method for tracking; cookies I suppose! I didn't find the quidco site particularly friendly at explaining how it works, hence my wondering.

Voting Hot.

£333 for a 360 plus two games a HD DVD drive? Damn good deal. And if HD DVD isn't your thing, flog it for £100 and you got a premium and two good games for £233. Score! And if GoW and Crackdown aren't your thing, well...then you are clearly a fruity communist.
