The only difference now is the colour (white/black), the HDD is 120GB on the Elite, Pro is 20 I think and you get a HDMI cable with the Elite, you don't with the Pro AFAIK.
Pro's didn't used to have a HDMI output but that has changed and now they do, just check when you buy that it has this functionality, just incase its an older one.

Thanks. If u don't know the retailers will give u anything. Suppose thats the problem buying online, they could send an old version and u then have the hassle of dumping it. :santa:

I believe the arcade does not come with hard drive and i've seen them advertised with a 256mb memory card to save games etc. This seems a good deal though and if its for your lad and your not too worried about shelling out another 50, it could be used for other things like playing dvds and play music etc.

The only difference is that the Pro/Premium has a 20GB Hard Drive (Arcade comes with a 256MB memory card), a component lead (for High Definition, but you can get a HDMI lead and use that instead), a headset for online games.. and that's it. But, to me the hard drive is worth the difference in price.
#26
or you could go for the deal at gamestation and buy a hard drive off ebay for £25-£30 and get the whole lot for around £200. Don't get a HD cable though but you do get a memory card and 7 Xbox Live Arcade games. Good deal I think and maybe more hassle.
#27
Picked one up in-store even though they hadn't advertised it (due to late arriving promotional material). Great deal.

Premium: 20Gb Hard drive, Wireless Controller, Component High definition cable, (chrome edge finish)

Arcade: No Storage, Cabled controller, Composite cable only (lowest quality).

The major cost difference is the Hard drive, and controller, the cable is worth £15ish but most people like to use an HDMI cable anyway which costs £5 from aldi.

Arcade includes a wireless controller AFAIK. So the only real difference is the Harddrive and component cable which you get with the PRo ver, so you decide...

Bought this yesterday and found it is not the falcon chipset, so will probably take it back soon!
#31
Can anyone confirm whether the Arcade includes a WIRED or WIRELESS controller please?
