No...

Logically thinking now. Xbox elite plus 2 games is £189-199. Sell them two games, you have a far better machine for less then £150 with a bigger hard drive and not the old chipsets.

Sad that you had to explain that, obviously some people need to have everything spelled out for them!!
I agree the Elite deal is much better, and you have games to play straight away!!

Not everyone lives their lives around consoles and what the exact tech spec's of everything is. Give people a break.

But that's not what he said. He said it was cheaper to buy the Elite with two games, which it is not. It would then involve the resale of the two games you get. :whistling:

xbox elite + MW2 + forza 3 at GAME = £199.99

MW2 CEX buy for cash = £29
forza 3 CEX buy for cash = £24

£199.99 - 29 - 24 = £146.99

even if you dont "live around consoles", shouldnt it spring to mind that an "elite" is better then "pro"?

if you cant tell that then god help you make the complex decisions in life, good luck.

+1 I am getting sick and tired of people actually attempting to put down those of us that are more technically minded on these things, we are actually trying to help!

120GB hard disk + a Jasper Motherboard = more storage + the latest coolest 360 = even a lesser chance of RROD.

Well personally if I were parting my money with anything, I'd do my research before hand.
If you are also on a deals website specifically looking at a deal around consoles I'd like to know what I'm buying and if I could get it cheaper.

I'm a believer of people asking questions if they genuinely don't know the answer. However if they haven't bothered to do any research before hand and fail to understand then that's just lazy.

Just think, if people don't suggest better alternatives then you're just wasting your money. I don't care if you wanna waste your money!!

Of course but many on here will be parents with little time to inspect everything that little timmy wants, but naturally want the best deals. A simple you'd be better off getting XYZ is better than some alec reply.

Your aggressive tone just really says it all, there was a simple XYZ response about being better off buying an Elite, you chose to rant about it. Especially as you had to amend your swearing.

If parents were on this site they would search for xbox...2nd one down is the game elite deal or the first one is the sainsburys deal

Better deals!

You think my tone is any more aggressive than his original post? Ummm

I fully understand why the Elite is better - perhaps it should be explained why rather than treating people like retards if they don't understand? Not everyone has the time to find out the level of detail that some of us do ;-)

Clearly if people are asking questions they don't all understand?

I'm not a parent. If I were I'd be more interested in taking the timeout to see what it is that my children find entertaining.
I do believe the first comment did suggest to purchase a 360 elite then somebody didn't understand so it had to be explained when they could have done their own research in the first place.

There is always time, you just have to make it.
The world would be a boring place if we all had the same thoughts and agreed with each other.

Fair enough:thumbsup:

But as a parent, there isn't always time - I can tell you that much - you say that very much like a non-parent LOL

I'm not daft, I know what you are saying with this.

But can you BUY an Elite cheaper than this.

No.

Still cheaper in Morrisons if you can find one, but if you don't have £199.99 to spend in the first place or have no local CEX or don't feel comfortable selling the games on, it might be worth looking at.

Anyway this thread has been voted cold, probably for a reason. I'm eating my lunch.

Love and pea's to you all (yea pea's).

HA, time = management.

I agree with Kermit2004, just because YOU may not choose to 'afford the time' [plus extra] for your kids doesnt mean it doesnt happen. I don't need to be a parent to understand that, I've been in the receiving end of that, and I plan to do exactly as my parents did for me.

Edit: Its actually quite shocking to see people say "I may not have time for my children". ???!??!!? Even if its rare occasions its a very bad thing to say..!

He said there isnt always time... for what???? well, for researching Xbox deals. Please bear in mind, he said "ALWAYS" meaning in the majority of times there is time to research and some times there isnt...

Its like when someone is always washing your clothes and one day when this person is sick, he/she may say, "I cant ALWAYS wash your clothes".

Im a parent and I can say that I have sometimes bought things for my kids only to find out later from other parents that the thing was cheaper elsewhere AND it has happened vice versa aswell.

Your not a parent, I and other parents have been at the recieving end and as a parent I can tell you that you cannot possibly know how parenting is even if you have been at the recieving end.

No.... He did not say "I dont have time for my children"..:stocking::gift::santa:
