Xbox 360 Pro 60GB console with 4 free games and a extra wireless controller for £166.39.

Games are:
Project Gotham Racing 4
Sega Tennis
Kung Fu Panda
Ledo indiana jones
Official Wireless controller

Just add item number:

Not the best bundle but it is good and you could always sell them games and extra controller to make some money back off the console.

Not 2 bad, crap games
#2
Console is £137 @ Shopto, so you're getting the four games and extra controller for £30. Not bad.

I think the shop to price is better . At least you can pick good games for the money saved

same here. where is the best deal? suppose shopto is good for £140?

I saw this offer in an Argos leaflet I glanced at today (and it was as the original poster has listed: 60gb or 120gb console, plus PGR4/Tennis & Indiana Jones/Kung Fu Panda with the extra controller for £166/£224). Doesn't seem to show up in the offers on the website though.

hmm il tell my brother to try going in. probably the best deal to get 60gb and 2 controllers.

Not sure how you get it all to £166.39 but am guessing it will make it to the correct price when your in the final stage of checkout.

why is this so hot, not available online at this price, can the op or anyone else confirm if available instore please?

I don't understand the attraction of the 'high-spec' 360's; if you are going to be spending ~£200 on a 360, why not get a PS3? :S

If you are a gamer you would not ponder this question. Also if you know of a deal on a PS3 for £200 then I suggest you post it on HUKD.
#14
A good deal with an extra controller, lego indiana jones and PGR4. The other games aren't up to much though.

1. Nobody is spending £200... Its £169 retail and you get about £30 freebies making it about £139

2. A PS3 retails (currently) at £299 with or without game

So taking all your completely invalid points into account FANBOY!

Because its half the price with a bigger back catalogue of near identical looking games. There are about 8 of the ps3 exclusives that look awesome on PS3 but three of them arent out till next year. The games which both systems share look practically identical...

Both Great Machines... but budget does play a part too. Please dont be a fanboy prat either way. Its a games console... not a blimmin football team. :x

I think you are jumping the gun a little, accusing me of fanboyism - especially as the only console I own is a 360 arcade; which is used solely for media streaming.

I think I have to agree with cicobuff - my failure to appreciate the attraction of the high-end 360 is because I am not evaluating the 2 machines from the perspective of a console gamer.

As I don't want to go totally off-topic here, I guess that'll have to be the end of it - except to say the ~£200 price bracket I was comparing would have been a 2nd-hand PS3 vs a 360 Elite
#17
Anyone who's picked one of these up, able to confirm if they are the latest batch of XBOX360's with Jasper motherboards?

Thanks.

Cheekster.

My xbox got the red ring of death again today for the second time in 3 years and maybe 2 hours play a week.

I think I too would go for the PS3
#19
Stonking deal, I paid nearly as much for an arcade package last week, though I did get a jasper withthe 512 internal memory
#20
same here find me a ps3 deal with 4games and 2 controllers for the same price and I'll leg it to the shop naked(the best deal can even come close to for a ps3 with 4 games is £297-games are dead,space,lbp,gt5 and golden compass(£4))that's after 10% staff discount.
I already have dead space, not into lbp and played gt5 to death at a mates(really good)and as for the golden compass I bought it for him as a joke since it's meant to be awful, maybe that's why it's £4 brand new!?!
#21
i'd rather have 3 red lights of doom than those games
#22
Fallout 3 DLC nuff said

Just hope that nothing goes wrong with that after 12 months, or they charge you £150 for a refurb.
#24
Hot deal i suppose.

I am willing to trade my brand new 60gb xbox360 for a ps3. Any model.

Oh you say that now. But you would change your mind if you were waiting for your heat-sink refixing kit to come so you have the slim chance of getting rid of the red ring of death. Thankfully I got the PC version of Fallout 3 and my last purchase was a 22" monitor. I'll have to keep this on file in case my venture into remedial console repair fails and I have to buy a new one.

For the record I had this console since release day so it hasn't done too badly.
#26
I can't get this to work either- but I can get the 360 and "Black Wireless Controller and Resident Evil 5 - Xbox." for this price!

If you only want a media streamer you're far better off getting a Popcorn Hour.
Games consoles are for games funnily enough.

Well not to start an all out war but I have both and for games the 360 is probably the better option.
#31
Hate to break up the love quarrel, but has anyone managed to get this deal online yet? What about in store?
#32

Never heard of Popcorn Hour before - but a quick Google later and it appears the cheapest model is $215 USD in the US (haven't looked up the UK price, but it's probably not going to be less!), but on that basis, for streaming from say Windows Media Center, the cheapest XBOX is still the best deal - unless anyone else knows better, in which case do tell please!

The 360 has fairly bad compatibility with codecs unless you run transcoding software.

The PH will natively play pretty much anything you could throw at it.
#35
oi fan boys burger off - this thread should be concerned with this deal only if you wanna chit chat about what the 360 can and cant do - do it elsewhere
#36
Voted hot.. I reserved this deal at the Merthyr tydfil town centre store, they've got the posters up around the store stating £166 for the 60gb console, 4 games, extra controller it just doesnt come up on the website for some reason.
I went to collect it earlier and had a 'customer view' first it wasnt sealed so i had the staff member to open it up and it was a falcon chip so i left it, i'll prob wait for other deals to pop up..
#37
Good deal IF you like all the games they have listed. From personal experience the only game that's good from that list is Project Gotham Racing, and even that is not as good as Forza
#38
Just got this at the South Shields store. They had a job getting the price down to £166 but they got there eventually. Going back tomorrow as spare controller doesn't connect. Cracking deal overall though.

Have you synced the controller?

Small button on the 360 itself, and small button on the top of the controller.

Its part of the catalogue clearance leaflet. my brother is gonna take the list to Game/Pc World/Gamestation tomorrow and see if anyone will offer him better games. possibly Game or Gamestation could give him FIFA or Tiger 09 preowned, worth a shot anyway instead of PGR & sega tennis.
