Colin McRae Dirt was released on the Xbox 360 a couple months ago and proved to be a quality racer and is available for only £24.99 plus go through quidco to receive 4% cashback, making it £23.99 delivered.

The PS3 version is also about to be released as of next week and is available at 40% off retail, at just £29.99 delivered.

Hope that helps. :)

Highly recommended - great game that lets you check your time against everyone who has ever played the game - try achieving a world record time around all different types of tracks using 40 different cars, buggies and vans.

Good price - Shopto have lousy customer service though, fortunately most of their orders are error free.

Good game if a tad boring after a while -and replayablilty isnt really there as online is pretty terrible

Good graphics - dodgy car controls but overall ok

Good find... especially the PS3 price (£29.99).

Game Stores are selling both the 'standard' version & their Exclusive Steelbook version for £39.99:

(Has 11% QuidCo cashback & Reward Card points, if applicable, too of course)

To be honest, Sendit are based in the channel islands, so they won't be able to deliver it as fast, personally i wouldn't wait an extra couple days to play a game for the sake of a lolly pop. :)

I heard this does not have local multiplayer support on the Xbox 360... is this true? i.e you can only race online with friends.... no split screen?

Anyone pre-ordered this from this site?
The pre-order page that you enter your card details on isn't secure!!!
sound's a bit dodgy to me!

No split screen

That's a relief!

"Colin McRae Rally" on the PS1 had a dreadful split screen, you couldn't see what the heck was going on.

Online multiplayer is the way forward... unless you upgrade your PS3 to firmware 1.92, then it's a step backwards :)

Seriously, I have a pre-order for the PS3 GAME Exclusive Steelbook. If you think "Dirt" is no good, I'll change to pre-order "Sega Rally" instead.

Think I agree with previous poster. I have it for the 360 and replayability is not great. But then most racing with a few exceptions (PGR3 for me) are the same. I would buy it, but realise it has a short life so you will lose if you trade it in.

You lose with trade-ins regardless. Hence why forum sites such as HotUKDeals are a great way to address the balance.

I thought with buying (pre-ordering) the Steelbook edition online (11% QuidCo; double pre-order Reward Points), and with the benefit of a fiver off the listed price of £39.99 (courtesy of the recent "summerfun" promotion [that ended last Friday, sorry]) then I may recoup some of the outlay.

PS. I have "Ridge Racer 7" for the PS3. Bought it on PS3 release day & haven't even opened the box due to time constraints [read: being addicted to this forum!].

My six year old son is also keen for me to buy "Formula One: Championship Edition" (see my "WANTED" post where it is listed), but I think he'll get bored of it too quickly, and as I can't bear Formula One games I'm not going to pay anywhere near full price for it.

But yes, after a while, all racing games start to look the same.

All but, "Full Auto 2: Battlelines" - that looked kak well in advance of being released! ;)

There's nothing dodgy, everyone on these forums has ordered from them on many occasions and no one has reported anything ever going wrong, including myself. :)

Still, you are sending your credit card information across a non secure connection, anyone can phish that from the transaction!. I certainly wouldn't trust that even if it is a great price!

Shopto is a good site

ps3 version is 29.89 at sendit

Not saying that its not a good site, just warning people that their credit card information is insecure (from what I saw on the preorder page) so beware!, no other site I know of uses an insecure page to take orders!

Just thought I'd let everyone know that is back INSTOCK as well on the PS3 for an earlier release than other stores. :)
