As if this game needed any promotions to make it sell, as this is the undesputed champion of football games and Shopto are not only offering it for the lowest price on every single format including Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PC, Nintendo DS and PSP but they've now started a competition for everyone that orders the game until 12/11/07 and I've just ordered my copy in order to get it as early as possible, as preorders usually arrive 1-2 days before the official release date.

The winner of the competition will receive a £1000 cheque with second place receiving £300 and third place receiving £150, which isn't bad considering a lot of people would of ordered this game anyway. :)

The prize money could also increase depending on the amount of orders made, so lets hope the promotion is highly successful.

Hope this helps. :)

Prices for each respective console version:

PSP - £24.99
Nintendo DS - £24.99
PC - £24.99
PS2 - £25.99
Xbox 360 - £36.99
PS3 - £36.99

Hope that clears up some of the earlier confusion. :)

Sorry voted cold, thought the price was for all formats.

How can this receive so many cold votes -28.2 when it's officially the lowest price on every single console and handheld, the order arrives earlier than most sites and you get entered into a free prize draw as well?
#3
Misleading thread title, I thought the same as above.

I clearly say "from £24.99" but even if you misunderstood, it's still the lowest price on every single console and handheld + the other benefits that I mentioned in the previous post.

Thanks for at least letting me know your reason for voting cold but if everyone thinks the deals rubbish, then it's all good because it'll mean i'll win the prize draw for being the only person to order the game. :giggle:

Voted cold, just not a very good deal from what I can see.

Maybe but Pro Evo is one of the must buy games on all consoles, so stores don't have to lower the price because it will sell well regardless of the price and if you look at the PS2 version, it was around £30 everywhere for about 6 months after the release and was still selling strongly, whereas the xbox 360 version received some bad publicity and didn't sell as well, so the price dropped within a few months.

To be honest, games like Forza will never sell even half as well as Pro Evo games because Pro Evo is one of the biggest gaming franchises ever and that's why Forza's price could be reduced.

I'm not sure if it's still coming out on the Wii but last I heard, the Wii version was going to be released at a later date once they adjust the gameplay to adapt to the Wiimote but I'm not sure if this idea was scrapped later on.

I'm sure it will be released at a later date though. :)

cant wait until pro evo comes out. bought the ps3 mainly for pes 8.

GAME have the 360 version for £34.99 with a voucher, and that's before taking into account quidco+GAME points.

As others have said, even cheaper deals (around £30 mark) are likely to come out nearer to release. Heck I bought PES6 (X360) last year on release for £30ish. Voted cold, sorry!

I thought the Game voucher had recently expired. :?

Yeah the 'summerfun' voucher expired at the end of Aug.

They should of arranged and online tourney with prize money, and only people who buy from ShopTo could enter.

That would have been a better reason to pre-order from them.

But as it stands, it is still pretty expensive. Closer to release date im sure it will be cheaper.
#17
Pretty much sure that's going to be around the best price for the PS2 version. Cheers!

I've just ordered COD 4 by using the get up and play no purchase necessary option http://www.getupandplay.co.uk/ to get £5 off . Just follow the instructions and off you go.

I don't see many places doing PES for under £30 quid . It may come down in price soon after release like forza and dirt did, the only reason PES reduced in price so quickly last year was because of negative response the 360 version received by fans and media.
