Not in stock in London area :o(

Bear in mind though, unlike the image the original poster has used, the band in the box Rock Band is excluding the game itself, so, with that in mind, £40 for Rock Band 2, which in my opinion is the better game than GH:WT, but makes the whole package £120.

Considering Asda are doing GH:WT for £127, there is only 7 pounds difference there, add in the fact that you dont have the cymbals on Rock Band, the guitar is not as good etc etc....GH:WT really still is the better pack to go for at least instrument wise, and if you dont like the game as much, trade it in for Rock Band 2 Solus.

Neutral from me.

Me and the Missus want this, but I`m waiting for it to come down to around £39.98 :whistling:
#7
It's getting there... I promised the missus I wouldn't buy it til the instrument pack got down to £50!

the original rock band instruments will plummet in price soon, because the new set is due out.

just wish the price of the game itself would fall a bit as well ;)

Not sure if it's any use to anybody!

good find ,just a shame it wasn't guitar hero, rock band instruments no where near as good guitar hero.
#11
Got this for my kids at Christmas even though they also have Guitar Hero - it is brilliant and can be used with GH as well as Rock Band. No need to have the 'new set' when this will do. I am voting this hot hot hot - great deal! :-D:thumbsup:

Don't forget you'd have to factor in some pad silencers (RRP £14.99) cos these drums are loud as hell without em! Still not cheap enough for me I'm afraid, not with the 2nd gen instruments on the way

Son has world tour and rockband and WT wins hands down.

Most critics and users would disagree.

Rock band is by far the better game, GH:WT instruments are better than these. Rock Band 2 instruments are better than these but aren't out yet. GH:WT instruments can be used on Rock Band (I believe).
#18
Same price at PC World as well.
#19
Picked up the Rock Band game (Solus) for just under £20 at PC World a couple of days ago in their clearance sale

I would go for this set over Guitar Hero World Tour.

GHWT instruments are compatible with the Rockband game but you will need to use one of the symbols as a main drum = awkward.

The other major factor you may want to consider is that when a band member fails during a song in GHWT - you ALL fail.
Should a band member in Rockband fail, only that person is 'kicked' during the song so the rest of the band can keep on rockin'. So unless your band-party consists of gaming naturals then I'd go for Rockband otherwise you'll just end up playing songs that end prematurely because your cousin/grandad/mum/dad hasn't got the hang of it yet. :-D

I agree, song choices in Rock Band and Rock Band 2 are better, and they are better games, advantage of GH:WT is the novelty of song creation mode...however as games go...currently the combination of GH:WT instrument kit, with Rock Band software is the best set up.

Same could be said for using Rock Band Drum Kit, would you not have to use a drum as a cymbal in GH:WT

As GH:WT instruments are far better, I think the combination still of GH:WT instruments in combination with Rock Band software is the best choice.

IMO Rock Band is a better game. The Rock Band drums seem to work better in GHWT than the GHWT drums in RB. IF you buy this band in a box though do NOT buy Rock Band 1. Instead, buy Rock Band 2 then rent Rock Band 1/borrow and use the EXPORT SONGS feature. Then you end up with the Rock Band 1 songs, Rock Band 2 game and Band in a Box with a hell of a lot of songs :)

You are joking its WT instruments are naff drums broke after 5hours, guitar after 2days cheap and nasty feel the game it tacky and the gimic music maker is pathetic because of the lag issues.

I was lucky bought a Rockband drumkit for 35quid at woolworths just before it shut.

Should also not Rockband bandinabox was £80 at Smyths toy shop as well in walsall crown warf, though that was last tuesday

Anyone know when the new set of rock band instruments are actually out? Or if it hasn't been announced yet.
Any information would help.

I don't think anybody knows. There are countless threads on the forums on the Rock Band website asking the same question, but no one has given any information unfortunately. It's frustrating, I returned my RB instruments (for a ~£30 profit after 7 months use!) with the intention of upgrading to the RB2 instruments, but they haven't surfaced, and I'm losing patience. I've been considering getting GH:WT but I'd really rather not!

Seems not long to wait now apparently it will come out on the 20th April (3 days now) according to this website: http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/rock-band/394573-rock-band-2-ps3-ps2-wii-release-dates.html
