Amazing deal!!!

i bought this at 15gbp, and it was a bargain. i made good use of the skyplayer.
#4
Nice one OP.
I get sick of sitting down to watch something on the 360 downstairs and then realising the remote is with the 360 in the bedroom so I was after another. 3 months Live is a nice added extra.
#5
how do you cancel after 1 month?

my cats arse thats a good deal
#7
Buffering reply...
#8
Why expired ??
#9
I wonder if this recent price drop has anything to do with Microsoft's E3 announcement that ESPN will be available for free to all Gold members..

Why expired? Showing 2 in my local Argos. Will pop down later and pick one up for when the footy starts up again.
#11
yeah showing 5 in my local. UNEXPIRE!

This is not expired. Available near me..
#13
They could afford to give this away for free and it would still be cold.
#14
Great deal! would add heat but can't for some reason
#15
I also get the option for home delivery.
#16
carful i think the sky subsricption expires september, so if you wait for footy season it may be too late
#17
There is stock in every store nearest to me!
#18

Be fine for the 1st month of the season. Expires Sept 30th.
#20
Yehhhhhhh, there's stock nearly everywhere but still some muppet has decided to expire it....
#21
ive never used skyplayer...is it highdef?
This would be perfect for watching the world cup in hd as I cant get freeview HD in my area
#22
Defo in stock as the others say - have just ordered for the same 2 xbox's/2 rooms reason!
Also will mean some Xbox live playing without having to transfer gamer info - can now play as OH...
#23
I Think There Is Lots In Stock Everwhere!!
#24
This is actually quite tempting.

Edit: Sod it, reserved one, worth it just for the 3 month live card and a month of sky and I can give the remote to one of my mates since I already have one.
#25
For those saying the codes expire on 30th September - Whilst it says this on the back of the card, when you actually sign up on Sky' website and enter it, it tells you that the code is redeemable upto September 2011. I rang Sky to confirm this and they told me that they had extended the lifetime of the vouchers by a year. So go on guys, stock up, The vouchers can be used every month when your old sub expires. I repeat, they will not expire until September 2011.
#26
3 each in both of my locals!

Shame I sold the 360 about 3 days ago :)

No, it's about the same as iPlayer quality.
#28
bargain.. paid £15 for the same thing in Game at the weekend.

Hot deal, I'll be getting one. H&R OP.
One of my friends that moved away could do with this, he is running out of a current 3 monther. If I bought him one could he use the live without me having to send him the physical packaging? I'm assuming the 3 month live is just a code, so I would send him that and I'd keep the remote.

And do you have to activate sky (i.e give bank details) to get the 3 months of live? Or are they independent codes? I'll be using the sky (and quickly cancelling it) but my friend is the sort that wouldn't fancy setting up a direct debit.
#30
to be fair you could get 2 and have the first 2 months of the footy season for free, as long as you redeem your voucher BY 30th September, you should in theory be able to get October for free.

And to cancel, you just log into to the sky player website, go to manage my subscriptions and cancel it, and when your month is up, you don't get charged!

I did it for a few months last season, and its really easy. Plus you don't need to get a new sky id if you buy another card, you can keep adding free codes onto your existing sky id.

Yep, you get two codes in the pack, one for Sky and one for Live

Looks a good deal.
I have Sky multiroom already with an HD box and and SD box. Does anyone know if I would be able to use this on my son's 360 in his bedroom without paying the skyplayer monthly fee?
#33

I'm already on a free month, can I just extend that by another month by entering another code then?

EDIT: 2 left in Swindon Brunel after mine has been reserved. Cheers Op Hot!
#35
Reserved the last one in Lincoln.

For the remote and 3 months live its worth £10, let alone Sky Player for a month, not sure if my connection can handle it though

Best way to subscribe to Sky Player

Subscribe through the PC player (http://skyplayer.sky.com/) and there will be a place to put the voucher code in. Then go to the Accounts & Settings section and Manage Subscriptions. Cancel the subscription, it will still last until the next renewal date but won't renew/charge you when you get to it.

You can't 'extend' your subscription but cancel your existing subscription, then start a new subscription with your new code, and you can do it on the same Sky ID.
#38
Yes you can. So just to confirm to those who entered the thread and can't be bothered to scroll through the comments - When you redeem a code on Sky's website it tells you that it expires on September 2011. Not 2010 as stated on the back of the card. I have been using these cards for the past 4 months now and a code can be redeemed on the same day your old code expires. Depending on how much your willing to buy, in theory you could have a years worth of Sky Sports for free if you choose to sell on all the remotes and extra Live memberships you don't need

You just need an xbox live subscription if you already have Sky to use sky player on xbox. If you have multiroom it lets you watch the live stuff and not just the on demand stuff too. You'll only get movies and sports on it if they are part of you normal sub tho.

I got this for £15, signed up for 1 month free Sky Player (with Sky Sports) via Quidco, cancelled after 1 month and got £20 cashback.
