I don't want to kick off a fanboy war... BUT... Is it worth buying one of these if you already own a PS3? I've not really been hooked on gaming lately and have been considering making the jump (in) to 360.

I used to love MW2 online, but the hackers ruined it - is it any better on 360?

FPS and RPGs are my favourite genres. Are there any exclusive titles that are superior to the PS3 equivalent?

Also, there seems to be a lot of offers lately - do you think there may be an official price drop soon that should make me wait rather than buy now? Cheers.

Personally, as someone who owns a 360, if you're not so into gaming atm, I'd recommend against getting one. There aren't really enough reasons to buy either console if you already have one unless you game a lot and are gonna make use of both consoles and their exclusives. As far as FPS' go, Halo: Reach is a corker, but is it worth buying a new console for? The majority of the massive RPG'S and FPS' (CoD, Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, Battlefield) are on both consoles anyway.

Selling points for the 360 (to me, not counting exclusive games) include the arcade and indie games services. If you do a tiny bit of research, there's some great games to be enjoyed.

Maybe you should wait and see. Would you get £150's worth of gaming out of it that you wouldn't have with your PS3?

Keep the PS3...nothing between the two consoles really..as for becoming disillusioned with MW2.

All i can say is buy Battlefield Bad Company 2 and you won't look back...

Don't forget marketing Kinect! They obviously only went through the effort so they could announce a new console.

How stupid are we, falling right into their trap!

It'd be worth it to me if I found only one game that had addictive multiplayer (I spent hours at a time on MW2.) I tried BFBC2, but actually preferred the singleplayer campain to the multi - I kept getting killed by people from ridiculous distances, and found the pace too slow. There are a lot of games this year that I'll definitely get - Portal 2, Skyrim, MW3, BF3. I guess the question I want answered will be subjective, will these multi-platform games be better on 360?

I'll be keeping the PS3 whether I buy a 360 or not (GT5 and Blu Ray... Not to mention my "friends," lol.)

I really wanted to enjoy BFBC2 online, but just kept getting frustrated. Died too many times without really knowing why oO and the shotguns seemed to have a silly range.

If the last few years is anything to go by, there won't be much difference between the games at all (except Portal I presume, Valve are having an affair with Sony, they're getting all the preferential treatment at the minute). Some people will tell you the graphics on one are better than another (which is 50/50), and the odd game will be on multiple discs for 360 (FF13 was on 3 discs on 360, you had to change once every, oh, 15-20 hours so that's no big deal).

Unless you know you're going to love the Halo, Gears, Left 4 Dead or some other exclusives multiplayer I don't think another console is the way to go. Multi-platform games have issues on both consoles so really it's just a question of whether you wanna spend that much money to try out some new games.

Don't think so, I heard this price cut started with Tesco Direct as they needed to boost sales, and every retailer afterwards (Amazon, Game, etc) followed with their own price cuts.

If you play online. Xbox is the only choice.

Especially with Black Ops. PS3 isn;t really supported.... you need to look into it to understand why.
