  For the gears of war one, when it says trade in a slim 360 250gb does that mean I have to pass over the controller as well? What about the leads etc? Does it have to come with the original box?

  Don't see why anyone would trade in a 4gb for a 250gb for £99 when it's cheaper just to buy a new 250 or 320gb HHD

  if you've had your Elite for ages it's not going to RROD now and if it does just get another preowned with 12 month warranty and you're still quids in against this deal

  Microsoft increased the warranty on the XBOX RROD by 3 years. this would suggest the risk can go up to or beyond the warranty window.

  I also thought the warranty for second hand consoles was 6 months, but i may be wrong!

  Toying with the idea of this upgrade as the extra HD would be useful, the elite is quite noisy and a new warranty would be reassuring. The bundled game could be sold to reduce the cost more.

  Good deal i got the email from xbox this afternoon i have an old elite so a £99 AND swap my old one for a newer quieter simmer version with a bigger hardrive and a game can't be bad....offer is between Game and xbox ...heat from me lol

  you need to trade in everything that came with the 250gb apart from the wired headset, and don't get fooled by game, tell them to price match cex for the console and you'll get the gears of war 3 bundle for £77 extra instead of £100 :)
  trade in price for 250gb slim (boxed) at cex is £123

  I have a 120 elite and to me its decent deal, however lets say i already have Gears 3, could i use that to trade in and reduce the price? Also i have a bunch of old games I wouldn't mind trading in, could i use those again to reduce the price?

  I sold my Elite after getting a new slim in the Sainsburys deal. In all I spent about £60 doing the upgrade. Taking into account the hassle of selling and the time spent on both transactions this is a very good trade and I would recommend it. The slim is so much quieter and with a new warranty it makes sense to go for it if you want to upgrade. Sell the game on too if you want to save a bit more money.
