Voed Hot, nowhere else I can find this cheaper but if you go to dvd.co.uk and take there Lovefilm trail you can get a £20 voucher for use at dvd.co.uk and can get the wireless dapter for around £35
#2
Good price especially if you have been fortunate enough to find a £2.50 voucher!

hahaha, "Powered by Xbox 360 to eliminate adaptor clutter" building it into the 360 would have done that surely.
#4
thanks - ordered this last week at the higher price - so should get a refund.

Good price for this overpriced piece of equipment.

It will be expensive until MS build it into the box.

I would recommend buying some sort of gaming adapter. At least you could use it on something else.

It's not essential for xbox live. I use a wired connection to my router as it's more reliable and much cheaper. You can get a 30m network cable for less than £10 at ebuyer.

It did take me a while to lay it tidily.

as far as i'm aware, one of these will do just as good a job, for a bit less money - http://www.laptopshop.co.uk/belkin-wireless_ethernet_adapter-wireless-1-froogle-wl99.htm

If you have a computer/laptop near the 360 just ethernet connect it to that and it will connect to live using your pc.

That comes out as £41.69 inc delivery. A bit cheaper but for peace of mind I'd go for the official Microsoft one.

£42.50 @littlewoods direct as a new customer,£20 off first order. The device is well overpriced, but for the simplicity of connection bite the bullet!

cold - you can buy a la fonera one port wifi router from fon for around £7.50 (with referal) and after about 30 minutes reflashing the firmware you can use it as a wifi bridge; essentially what this does but with many more features (xlink kai just one). ok, you need an extra power socket, and it's slightly bigger (maybe ~twice the size), and possibly the ability to follow a couple how-tos, but you save £40 :)

Luxury... mine used to start in the living room ( under the chairs ) :whistling: up the side of the stairs any hold how ( must have nearly killed myself 20 times tripping over it... then infont of the lav door ( no good for them half asleep trips in the middel of the night ) then wraped around some attic stairs to the roof.. to its place in the rear of the 360 :whistling:

then i figuered out just plug it in the laptop

It is overpriced but then isn't everything microsoft sell? It does also work as 802.11a as well as B & G standards, which should give a more stable signal, less interference on the 5ghz channel. The 802.11a probably accounts for some of the extra cost over the price of the other wireless bridges that have been posted.

ps you need a router that supports 802.11a to be able to use the A mode.

save yourself the hassle and buy a PS3.
#22
Already got a ps3,but find the 360 better in a few departments!

Yawn. Why bother looking at a 360 thread if you all your interested in is a ps3? Or is there nothing to look at on your ps3? :?

Same old dribble .....

Play.com Xbox Live 12 Month Gold Membership Card | Xbox 360
£34.99 Free Delivery so why are you claiming its £40 ?

Xbox Live, you can do a lot more things on live and did you all know that because ALL 360 games pass through MS servers NO game will be switched off even if only Two players are online playing it, BUT did you know on the PS3 other than Sony games all the others have to set up their own servers that is why companies like Sega did NOT include online play for games like Virtual Fighter etc whereas they did include online on the 360 versions, it cost a lot of money keeping servers going, and games online on the PS3 can be shut down whenever the company choses to especially if not many people use the server much because of a game is no longer popular online, WILL NEVER HAPPEN ON 360 cause you get what you pay for.

Cant wait for that 360 only GTA IV content should be amazing..

The price of the Wireless adapter is going to cost you about the same price what it is going to cost everyone who wants dual shock/immersion pads on the PS3, how can you play games with no feedback ? lol you cant feel impacts car slides etc etc HA HA oh and did you know if they do put dual shock in then MS will get a share as they own a share in immersion.

If you don't need wireless get yourself a CAT6 SUPER FLAT CABLE 1.4mm thick by 6mm wide and 50ft or 15m (so flat can hide it anywhere) only a few pound from ebuyer.

Did you know you can play your own music in any game on the 360, and as MS own the copyright on the way you can play your own music whilst playing a game on 360, you can't do that on PS3 for copyright reasons oh and its very poor at multitasking....

From one fanboy to another.....

Just waiting on someone to list all the 360 flaws now..... (shouldn't be hard)

Didn't quote flaws just responded to someone who wrote a load of rubbish and put it in perspective nothing more....In fact why did he or you even read a post about the wireless adapter when you clearly don't need One?.
#27
TBH the adapter isnt overpriced (You try and find a similar device and then see the prices of those for yourself).

Also @ Fred Head, nearly all of EA's games run on there own servers meaning at some point in time they will be turned off (like most of their older titles) meaning that you can no longer play online (unless its updated to run via p2p). Also you can get a subscription for even cheaper than that from ebay.

I agree with you it's a high quality "BRIDGE" adapter not just some cheap old wireless adapter as fitted in some machines and I know what you mean about the EA servers but MS did try to stop them but EA gave them the choice EA servers or no EA games MS had no choice on that One.(but I would think EA would allow MS to take over(HOST) any games that they no longer thought feasible through EA servers anyway)) would make financial sense for EA.
