Just purchased an Xbox 360 arcade from shopto today for £119 - was the cheapest I could find online at the moment.

I am still fairly new to this Xbox malarkey (its for my 8yr old son), so is this an official Xbox controller or third party? Thanks for any help

Voted hot by the way, thanks

Yes its the official Microsoft one, not a 3rd party version. RRP is £34.99. Cheapest they have ever been is £14.99 in sainsburrys in the past IF you could find one. I haven't had my xbox long either, i assume the arcade version is wireless too?

Thanks chelskii and Sharpe, yeah the one that comes with the arcade version is wireless too. My son really only cares about playing Forza 3 on it (he played it round his mates and loved it) so don't really need the bells and whistles version, but will no doubt need an extra controller for when dad wants a go too!

It might be worth checking out this deal which is for a wireless controller + 2 games for the same price.

Good luck finding one of those packs. They are like hens teeth! Certainly none for miles around me.

Surely if your xbox is still in warranty you can ring microsoft and tell them your controller isn't working and they'll send you a new one free? Read this somewhere before apparently its no questions asked.
