Seems to be the best price for a XBox Wireless controller. Available online and instore but the delivery is £6 online which is a shame (thanks DHaynes!)

I went in to the Cheltenham branch to pick up a wireless headset, and all the wireless controllers were £19.99. Apparently they're clearance nationwide in preparation for the new model with the improved D-pad. Genuine Microsoft product, with Duracell batteries.

However, the price is now the same for the NEW model! (thanks st0nec0ld!)

how do you hook these up to pc? ive googled for the pc version but the stores ive looked at dont seem to picture any wireless receiver for pc. do you buy it separate? cheers
#8
I had a wireless receiver from DealExtreme for £6-7.

Voted hot from me, can always use a spare pad and for that price its rude not to...........

The new one coming out dosent look all that anyway and that will be around the £45 mark as apparently it comes with Charge and Play kit.

Is this the new black or the old black one???

New black , went to currys isle of Wight and manager refused to price match till I jumped up and down and threatened to go to local paper because he used the Solent as an excuse not to honour promise! I won!! Up the consumer! Don't be fobbed off!!

Hot. Great price.
#13
very hot!

Excellent price. Not worth purchasing online without other products as delivery is £6 or £8 depending on when you get it delivered. The option to choose the day and time frame is useful, though it doesn't make up for it.

Instore price: very hot!

Very good price, heat! Paid 25 just recently, thought that was a good buy. Shame I didn't even use it while my GF was over, which was the entire point of the purchase, duh... :p

My local comet has outsourced all it's gaming to Game, so no chance for me. Cracking deal if you can get it.

I popped into Burton-on-Trent Currys to try and get a price match against Comet in Derby (none in stock in Burton Comet). No problem on the price match, but they didn't have any in stock either!! Still have one reserved from Derby Comet, and will pick it up tomorrow.
#24
I didnt bother with the pricematch I got mine from my local, these are the new ones that come with the Slim Xbox, awesome controllers, i have not seen them below 28£ anywhere :)

If not instock ask a sales advisor to check the systems to see if they can order one in, may take 3 days but saves you on delivery costs.

Is there any real difference between this controller and the original one?

I'm presuming this only comes in black.
#27
Warrington havent got any in :-( really good buy aswell
#28
Probably because the new silver controller will be released soon, so maybe these will become harder to find. Anyone know where to get wired ones from for £20 or less?
#29
got mine in currys today as comet did not have in stock!

£19.99 I paid. Did nt want to push it and ask for the 10% more discount as guy was a little suspicious! lol

To clarify, did you go into Currys and price match with this (Comet) deal or are Currys also selling for £20?
#31
Picked up one in the Lancaster branch of Currys, got them to price match with the Comet located on the other side of the carpark, even though they said there till PC was not working, so they could not verify the price at comet...

Whipped out my smartphone and did for it for them...

They also argued over the 10% discount, again out came Mr smartphone, and that argument was quashed by showing them what IT stated on there website.

Thanks OP for the deal H&R added.

The moral of this tale, be persistant, or bring a smartphone, or both....

Just to correct "seanyseansean", I have checked online and in-store and Comet are offering the new (slim) black wireless controller for £19.99 (and not the old Elite style controllers).

Yeah, deal on the new controller still on. They also have the Xbox wireless headset (black) for £24.99
#35
Just picked my controller up and paid £19.99, they also had black official rechargable battery packs for £5.10 which seemed okay to me too.
#36
I managed to get Derby Currys (in Westfields) to price match + 10%. No arguing or anything, they just did it.
#37
Got the deal from PC world too +10% - cheers OP! ....watching the sales guys sort it out was like watching monkeys throwing sticks at the moon....semi amusing but quickly became boring :)
#38
