Why this is cold is beyond me.
#2
most probably due to OP's store prices range and that £29.99 is more like the standard price, thus meaning this is not really a deal
#3
but it's the newer version
#4
heat from me saw in tesco for £40 today

Standard price is £40-45. Some places have it on sale (Argos at the moment), and it deserves heat.
#6
Have some heat
#7
Heat added, cheapest around for the new controller.
#8
Wow and I always thought the RRP was cheap ;-)

Good deal on the basis that they cost so much. It's a good job Apple don't make a third party version ;-D
#9
Good deal - paid the same price for it about 6 weeks ago when Argos had that 25% offer on.

It's a great controller too - the modified thumbsticks are much better
#10
I guess for the controller AND Play and Charge this is good, people probably thinking it is just controller
#11
I just bought this in Argos on Monday for £40 FFS :(

What's the difference between this and an old one?

New transforming Dpad that's a lot better and redesigned analog stick grips.

Just love it when people don't know what they are talking about!

Firstly this is a new improved wireless controller and secondly it comes with a play and charge kit included, so this is a very good price. Heat added!

Just noticed it says selling price valid till 14th June so you may have some time yet.
#18
ordered, cheers

Microsoft have really got to improve their controllers next gen. I play a lot of games and because of that I've been through 3 controllers now! The spring in the analog weakens very quickly and the rubber comes off. The shoulder buttons on every controller always seems to feel different as well.

You mean the quality rather than design? 360 pad is much better than PS3 imo - I've had the (fat) Elite since launch and the pad is still going strong with about 10+ hours use each week

Great deal BTW!

That must be some 'heavy handed' gaming. I've had mine since launch night 2005 and had no issues.

Huh? I still regularly use my pad from 2006 when I bought a 360. Build quality is excellent and the new ones are even better.
#23
what improvements does this make to the old version
#24
Thanks. Ordered 2. X)
#25
Biggest problem with me and this thing is RSI type pain when the right buffer 'clicks'. Really tempted to open mine to see if I can dampen it some way.

You get:
Improved 360 Controller
Play'n'Charge Kit (Rechargeable battery + USB cable)

Hot deal for £30! But now i'll want two, goddamnit, why do I have to buy a matching pair of everything?
#28

It is standard price, and has been for a while.

Agreed. PS3 controller trumps it on everything apart from racing and sports games for me.

Much better control on the analogue sticks for FPS games, and the shoulder buttons are far better to use for aiming/firing.
#31
No transforming noise when it transforms? This is outrageous.
#32
its been this price 2 monts now in Play and Amazon it just keep going up and down, so not voting either way

I mean how hard can it be to read the post immediately above yours that links to a review of this controller with full description rather than just asking the question again.

Errm. That IS my point. A two page thread and you can't be bothered to read what has been posted. So you ask about something already asked (re improvement) by other people, hence already answered the best two hours and immediately prior to you asking the same question.
