I've got one of these and recommend them over the wired ones. It comes with a USB charge cable which I just keep plugged into my PC so whenever I'm not playing Xbox the headset is just sitting charging. The charge lasts for ages anyway so not a problem. The only down side to these is knowing if your mic is live or not. With the wired ones you can easily tell by looking at the switch but with these the only indication is an alternating audio beep for when you switch between on/off. It can be a little tricky to get used to. It's great not to have wires and a bulky call center style headset though .

These also charge from your Xbox 360 USB front ports, even when the Xbox is switched off.

I got one when they first came out and it was absolute junk - hopefully they've updated it since then? - in any case I didnt find it as comfortable as the wired headset.

By junk, what do you mean?

Im happy I got one of these before they changed them to usb chargers. Brilliant accessories. I would buy another if i had the money. Much better then the wired ones and so much more convenient.

the sound was tinny and patchy and no one could hear me :( - this was one of the old charger type models, not USB plug in.

Does "junk" mean good now? like y'know "bad" means good? is it still cool to say "cool"? I just cant keep up :(

No, junk still means junk, I just wanted to know why it was, in your opinion 'junk'

I've had both versions - never had a problem with tinny sound. One problem that has been found with them that they sometimes cut out your voice, but that's got nothing to do with the headset, it's the new' version 2 later joypads where they changed the wireless chips or something.

I cured this by finding some old version 1 controllers in gamestaion and selling my new ones on £Bay

The only time i've had tinny sound was when using the various wired ones that came with the consoles etc...

Got one of these the now, and i am selling it due to it being pi$H
Peeps can't hear me very well and the volume is up max, and it always hurts my ear after a while..
Went back to the wired one... far better and peeps can hear me perfect and i can hear them..
Stay clear of it m8

i guess you'll have to wait until the XBOX 720 is out if you want it at that price.

Yeah they were updated. I got one of the newer ones and haven't had any problems whatsoever.

I've used mine on Rock Band and it's 6 and half a dozen compared to the wired one.

I didn't even know that. My PC is on 24/7 and sits next to the 360 anyway so its just as convenient for me but that's good to know.
