Brilliant Price!

I want one. But the website isn't working; can't check stock.

I already have a white one. Will stick it on ebay if I can reserve one @ Argos. £20+P&P seems to be going rate on ebay :)

Ditto says my local has 2 but i cant reserve one.

Stick to the standard headset or buy some decent astro's / turtle beach, the sound quality on these is absolute garbage, no noise cancellation, and a single charge only lasts like 6-8 hours. Add to that the fact that these are known to have shoddy batteries in the first place, just like the play and charge kits.

Just reserved one in Dunfermline, got confirmation number.

Appears to be working now?

One reserved no bother for Edinburgh, cheers OP. My cat ate my old cabled one so been on the hunt for one of these for a bit :D

I reserved a few here and there as I wanted a few spares as they can be a bit temperamental. BTW the voucher offer finishes 31st Oct.

They are upping the sound quality in the next update. Although id rather it sound like it does and have the extra bandwidth making sure I dont lag everywhere.

Anyway you can still reserve these so it shouldnt be expired.
#33
How is this expired?!?
#34
great find ive ordered 1 thanks for the heads up.

No, I didn't record that clip from the Xbox 360. That came direct from my pc. So, they can't change the quality. It is what it is.

They can and are they are changing the codec to enhance sound quality (i got a wireless mic recently after years and I can't hear the normal £14.99 wired ones that really should only be 99p and the halo2/pgr2 ones are a little better for me but still I struggle to hear people where as the wireless one i can hear a lot better)

I also hope they give an option to users which codec they would like to use. The one in use at minute or the enhanced(m$ are a bit stupid though so I doubt anyone at their tech department even considered it and even if they did they will still have just said fu and only give you the option of the new codec.
I have a rather poor dsl max [2mbps -3.4mbps] connection and run 2 xbox 360's on live and the extra bandwidth used by the enhanced codec will cost m$ the other xbox live account my son uses if it lags all the time from now on.

dontasciime, my recording wasn't using an Xbox at all. It was connected to my PC to record that sample and I don't believe it's possible for them to change that. I know they're going to make the codec better on xbox for gaming, but that's a different situation. A situation that is on the server side, not the home devices side. My pc recording had no codec involved, i.e. I originally recorded it uncompressed and that was the result.

Now, if you meant that there's an internal codec (within the headset) causing the atrocious audio quality, I may be interested to hear the difference. However, if you were referring to the server's used for Xbox gaming receiving their codec tweak for better quality mic audio, you're going to be sorely disappointed.
