Bought in Tesco Extra today....paid less than £39 due to Clubcard vouchers :-)

RRP is £59.99 so thought this was a decent deal

The Wireless N Networking Adapter provides increased speed, coverage and reliability, and features a high-performance design with two external antennas that works great with 802.11a/b/g and n connections. Simply snap the adapter on to the back of your console and enjoy wireless connectivity in multiple rooms or congested wireless environments and connect safely with WPA2 security support.

As far as I'm aware this is the cheapest this can be brought at present, so hot from me.
#2
was tempted to get one in work last night, get 10% off but i've already got the normal one and it would mean havin to upgrade my router again!
#3
These are such a rip-off.

YAAAAAWWWWWWWWNN!!!!

I'm pretty sure you can pick them up a couple of quid cheaper in CEX at the moment, but still a good deal compared the the likes of GameStation and GAME who'll most certainly rip you off..
#6
Sorry, not clear. Is this actually £39.00 or only because you had vouchers so price on the shelf is £59.99?

Former option.

Price instore was £39.00. I paid less than this by using Clubcard vouchers.

Installed and running like a dream

Anyone else find this? My friend is looking for an adaptor.
#9
Yes its a lot for what it is but its the cheapest I have seen and there is no direct alternative. Heat

Makes sense :whistling:

hot but not for my liking! :)
#13
It's a good price, not a rip off imo, they are well built and basically lifetime lasting - connection really good and I have never had a disconnect. Probably better to get a second hand one with that in mind. Heat added, good price and it's the new ones
#14
I do say that these are a big rip off but.............this is the cheap price.

Just remember you can just buy a gaming adapter for £20 and it will do the same thing!!!

he paid less than 39.00 with clubcard vouchers. If i can get one for 39.00 i will be happy as these are astronomical prices @ the moment. There are better alternatives though.

not sure I have seen any wireless bridges with n support for that.. also those need a plug and are more untidy than this solution. plus configuring can be a pain.

this is a good deal.

I agree! This is a good deal and N wireless.

The other options are for G-wireless which most people have. Either way, it is'nt really that fiddly to set up.

But, £40 for the N-wireless is great!

Something like this will be a better alternative, if you have an existing wireless broadband router:

£20 -Amazon

Glowing reviews on amazon:

I have Vista, so scrap the 2nd one.

I think a lot of people would be interested in this as its wireless 'n' instead of the old 'g' the original is. Giving twice the range and twice the file transfer speed making HD video streaming a better option for those not wanting to use cables round the house.

Anyone who does not use ps3 media server for there ps3 or xbox are not making full use of there console

For general xbox gaming the original one will do the job.

and we used a cheaper bridge like the one above for 2 years , but config / connection issues and dropping signals was a constant problem in busy times ,
the official xbox wireless n one is very good , easy to use and well worth the exrta , and wont loose muchif any value when you want to sell on

Both need external power and both are wireless G, not N.

Quite right - and what good is Cat 5 if you haven't got a laptop and you're 50 metres, 2 walls and a ceiling away from your router? The MS wireless adapter won't be the best solution for everyone, but this site is about finding stuff that's a good deal; at £39, this is £10 cheaper that anywhere else, so it's a good deal!!!! Jesus...

Oh, as a point of interest, my two sons both have xboxes in their bedrooms that are about the same distance to the router. Both have MS wireless adapters, one's a G and the other's an N; both work far better than using ICS through a laptop, but the N adapter has more lag than the G! Go figure...
#32
If you can't get this in tesco, smyths toystore have it for £39.99. Still a great price.
#33
Wireless N for this price is hot. :)
#34
I say stuff the lot and buy some Homeplugs!! BT Has a good deal in their store at the moment on Comtrends (£36 i think, deal on hotukdeals somewhere).. :p

I use 6 of these comtrends and never use wireless again!
#35
Its a disgrace that they charge this much but we are really over a barrel on this. I'll be popping down to my local Tesco to get one.

Heat for the deal.

There is no party. Just admit it Mr Bean :-D

a good bit under current alternative prices = a hot deal, whether or not folk think its worth it isn't all that relevant. Good piece of kit, I'll pick one up when I next update my router. h & r

Hi all, Bought one of these on release day from Asda for £49.71 i use the BTHomehub and have to say it is spot on, we live in a nightmare area for signal yet this little baby work's both upstairs(near router) and downstairs(a good 20 mtrs away from router) for example on MW2 the signal strength is mainly full with no lag at all.Lowest i have seen it is three green bar's,IMO that is very good.

I sadly own a PS3:oops: AND YES THEY ARE BUILT IN WIRELESS AND FREE ONLINE YADA YADA BLAH BLAH BLAH. But it's free for a reason, and if all you other PS3 owner's outhere are honest it's because its mostly poor eg MW2 ,played this on PS3 and it's god damm lame:x

Lol cue the angry owner's who dont have a proper console(Xbox360) next to there expensive Blu-Ray player to compare with.Happy new year;-)

What's the difference playing MW2 on a 360 Vs a PS3(I have both)?

For me it just seemed very slow and the picture was nothing like on my 360

What made it more of a head blag was the fact i played the ps3 version on an LCD T.V
Yet i play my 360 on an old sony vega 28in flat screen (big fat girl of a t.v):-D

It made us check the settings both on ps3 and LCD and all was spot on.Dont get me wrong they are good but upto now have yet too really make me think god that kick's ass.

Looking forward to GT5 im currently on Forza 3 and think it will be hard to beat as the driving physics are excellent
