OMG what a waste of money should be built in like the ps3 and wii:whistling:

Tbh it would make sense to get a homeplug instead of this as these are maxed at 54mbps but with home plugs you can get 85mbps pairs for £40

Tbh this is probably quicker than 85mbs homeplugs, doubt either pushes more than about 20mbs consistently.

Thinking of selling my adaptor and wiring it in to the router directly, wireless tuner guage on MCE says that i'm borderline for streaming HDTV, and W7 MCE seems more laggy over wireless than XP 05 did.

It wasn't supposed to be inciting trolls, just prevents others from complaining about a product which, as a wireless a/b/g device is very well priced at £35. If my 360 wasn't next to my router I'd probably pick one up at this price.

If you're having trouble streaming, switch to TVersity

Good price for what it is - but as it's a proprietary piece of kit I don't think it's a very sensible solution.

For the same price you could get a wireless-n router (and use it in bridging mode), or a pair of 200mbps powerline adapters.
Both will give better performance, and are much more flexible if your requirements ever change. (hooking up a blueray player, or other networked device for instance)

Not voting either way.

The benefits of getting this instead will be a much smaller footprint (clips to the rear of the console) and much less power consumption.

Don't you just get sick of hearing about e*fing homeplugs? Give it a rest. Go and sizzle and hum with them to your hearts content - must be like living next to a sub-station. Must also play havoc with the reproductive system too.

They complete the set of EM radiation emitters that no house can do without!
Other popular favourites being portable phones, wifi, bluetooth, mobile phones, microwaves & CRT screens :p
