mmm...xbox ones cost this much not the normal ones, that's because xbox is somehow special compared to pcs and microsft feels they need to charge people extra for the privilege

you can buy a router for this price, cold for me as a product in general so haven't voted
#8
Cheers, may be needing one in the future.

Is that how we vote on HUKD? Saying a product is cold because you can find an entirely different device for less?

GAME/Gamestation still charge as much as £60 for this adapter, if The Hut are selling it for nearly half that then it gets a hot from me.

Hot. Cheapest I've seen it.

They work great for what they do. This is a great deal bearing in mind I paid more than this for a second hand one off ebay.

Anyone know of a good deal on any size of HDD for the 360? Got my repaired premium back from MS but i've decided to keep the Arcade I got in the meantime as I like the HDMI and give the repaired console to my brother. As i'm now using the 20gb HDD with the Arcade (which now comes with internal memory of 256mb rather than a card) I need some kind of memory to either replace the HDD on the premium or upgrade the 20gb HDD too a larger size and return it to the console. I would prefer getting a larger HDD but i'm open to anything.

If you can locate & reserve one - 60GB for £39.74 @ Head: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/450008/xbox-live-60gb-starter-kit-39-74-he/

Or just buy it now (60GB) for £49.99: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/403563/xbox-live-60gb-starter-kit-49-99-ga/

Second hand 120GB for £48 delivered/pickup: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/439618/official-120gb-hdd-for-xbox-360-48-/
^ *for all above - you would have to request a transfer cable from Microsoft ^

New 120GB from Amazon (inc transfer cable) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xbox-120GB-Hard-Drive-Expansion/dp/B000U1JI1Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1249557023&sr=8-1

Neither did I. But comparing it to an unrelated product just makes things more confusing for people browsing on here.

Sell the lot and get a PS3, well you did say anything

No wait, I did didn't I. I'll go sit in the corner and think about what I've typed :whistling:

Excellent! I missed the 39.99 ones on ShopTo.

Desperate for one, I did a reserve and collect yesterday at Currys (59.99) when I got there they could not find it!

I am now v happy! cheers OP
#19
I would much rather pay a bit more and get a homeplug kit, should be quicker
#20
Just ordered one as well, heat added

I already own a PS3 that is currently being used as a dust collector under my TV.

I only really use it as a BD player and to play some TV that is archived on DVD so can't be accessed by my Popcornhour media tank.

As far as the 60gb and 120gb deals that someone posted i'm torn between me wanting the extra GB (on the 120gb) and the headset and three months that comes with the 60gb (that could go to my brother).

I believe if two 360's within range of each other have these Wifi dongles they can connect to each other (without a router) for Co-Op and such (depending on the game I assume). Don't quote me on that though.
#22
This is good if you have a router on the same floor but watch out if you don't, also if you need it ASAP don't expect it to arrive quickly from The Hut.
I'd still give heat though.

Fair play for the honesty

Smokin' hot

I still can't understand the price of these things! I spent a fiver on two long cat5 cables with a bridge connector in the middle to my router, just unplug it when not in use, saved £30 odd quid. Only really useful if your 360 is miles from your router.

Its more expensive because its an a/b/g adapter and not a standard b/g adapter. Should cost this price normally. Any more is the microsoft tax.
#26
Thanks.......Just ordered mine.
#27
Good deal. They do appear to have come down in price now and are usualyl £40 in GAME on the high street. A few places have had them down from their "RRP" or £60 at £40 over the last few months but this is a good price.

I got mine bundled free with my Elite last year, as well as 3 months live. At the time the adaptor was £60 in store so it was a much better deal than a couple of cheap games bundled for the same price.
#28
just bought 1 for the other half.well pleased as a lot more every where else.Hes pleased with it anyway.

Agreed - this is a hot price for this product.

I use Home Plugs on the PS3. For me it works better, more reliable than wireless. PSN is already bad enough.

If you've got a router on the same floor, you might be able to get away with a £3 ethernet cable. It make take a bit more installation, but you seldom get security or performance issues when you hard-wire your network.
#32
Good deal. Not sure about all the talk of alternatives. The point is, this is a good price for THIS product, whether you think it's stable or not.

Props to the OP
#33
excellent thankyou! voted hot and ordered...
#34
I take my Router upstairs when I use my xbox as it rarely gets a signal when router is downstairs

Considering the RRP is £59.99.. and always that price in HMV. This is a bargain, agreed at RRP is way overpriced, but if someone wants the official adapter then this is best price I've seen, so hot.
#36
Dont forget Quidco too

http://www.quidco.com/the-hut
#37
Hot ive been using mine for about 2years and never had a problem.
But I still think they should drop the price, 32quid just for a wireless adapter is pretty outrageous.
#38
Do I also need a wireless router to connect to live?

You need a wireless signal that this can connect to to get on the internet.

Thanks OP, ordered one just after getting a message from an eBay seller saying they wanted £40 for a used one on a buy it now.
