Heated, better deal than the Asda one.

Heat.

Not overly bothered about the games, but the extra controller and £10 voucher back makes this hotter than Asda.

Reserved.

Thanking you.

Voted hot. I paid £147 just for the console!

This'll save you about £15 in total. Shame that the controller doesn't come with two decent games. They're all right for the kids, but adults want these too.
#7
How much can we get for the games should we sell them on fleabay or elsewhere?

What makes them only for kids? No guns? :p Pure especially is a really good game IMO.

Only the 120GB hard Drive with this one. I got the 250GB version with 2 wireless controllers and Forza Motorsport 3 for £177.00 using promo codes and Quidco.

One for you experts.

Can the xbox be hooked to the PC Monitor or the PC itself?

And what about the sound? Will we have to buy some extra speakers?

Thanks

What inputs are on your monitor for both audio and video? Does the monitor have built in speakers?

The best case scenario is that your monitor has built in speakers and a HDMI input, then you can do it all with one cheap cable that carries the audio and video. Otherwise you're probably looking at using a HDMI to DVI cable for video with a separate cable for audio, or a VGA cable which has a plug at one end that goes into the 360, and a VGA connector and 2 RCAs on the other end for audio. The official MS VGA cable also comes with a 2 X RCA to 3.5 mm adapter if your monitor has a 3.5 mm jack on it for audio.

What's the latest when it comes to 'modding' these? I fell out of the loop about a month before last years ban wave so have had a quick scan of the usual places and it looks like I'll be into soldering probes and flashing firmware - both of which I'm ok to do, I just want to have a rough idea what to expect.

Thanks in advance

So it has speakers built in, but no audio inputs at all? VGA nor DVI are capable of carrying audio, so if it doesn't have audio inputs then you would have to use separate speakers. I use the VGA cable along with some powered monitors.

This is frustrating they only get cheaper by the day. HOT deal for now

Sorry it does have a line in. I tried hooking a cable from the PC speakers to the monitor and the sound was naff.

SO basically what cables do i now need.?

Something like this? Scroll mid way down to the frequently bought together http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sumnique-Component-Audio-Cable-Warranty/dp/B000VXW4BO/ref=pd_sim_ce_30

Xbox to monitor via VGA
The PC speakers has one green connector. Connect this using the coupler to the Jack to 2 x RCA/Phono

MAKE SENSE???

Most likely to be one of the new lite-on drives in it. Pain in the backside to mod the new drives but it can be done. The soldering only needs to be done to dump the original firmware.

If it's got a 3.5 mm line in socket, then you could use that cable you linked to combined with this: -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Female-Phono-Audio-Cable/dp/B000Q8KSS0/ref=pd_bxgy_ce_img_b

Or one of these: -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Stereo-Jack-RCA-Phono/dp/B001711TW4/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1270069111&sr=1-7

If you don't need the extra cable length, then choose the second option.

There are mixed reviews for the VGA cable you linked to though, with some saying it's great and others giving it 1 star because it's not shielded which can lead to ghosting, but it might be worth a punt for what it costs.

It's all about the JTAG :-D

tbh your better off getting a £90 secondhand arcade from Game (still comes with 1 year warranty) that way your much more likely to get a console that has a Kernel version of 7371 or less (Newer Kernels have had the exploit patched out and cannot be JTAG'ed)

looks like its expired now. Option 6 is now an accesory pack and a game for £20

Argos seem to have changed it around since I originally posted.
As it's 'expired' (they are trigger happy with that expired button ain't they :whistling:) I can't edit the original post

Any idea what Game or Gamestation would pay for the sealed Forza 3 or the sealed Wireless Controller?
