I am looking for a xbox at the moment and seen the deal in Asda stores with the same package as above but for £227 ish so this seams a good deal plus free delivery and nectar points (i believe) If any body knows better please post below because as i said i am after a xbox and do want Resident evil 5.

Xbox 360 Elite Console
Xbox 360 Elite is equipped with a premium black finish and HDMI cable, and like all Xbox 360 systems, comes with three powerful core processors, full surround sound, and DVD playback with upscaling capabilities right out of the box. The huge 120GB detachable hard drive is the largest available on any console. It lets you save your games and store television shows, movies, music, pictures, trailers, extra game levels, demos, and other content available from Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The sleek black finish of the high-performance wireless controller matches the style of the Elite Console. It has a range of up to 30 feet and a battery life of 30 hours on two AA batteries (sold separately).

Resident Evil 5
The biohazard threat has not ended! Just when it seemed that the menace of Resident Evil had been destroyed, along comes a new terror to send shivers down player's spines. Chris Redfield, returning Resident Evil hero, has followed the path of the evil literally around the globe. After joining a new organisation, Chris heads to Africa where the latest bioterrorism threat is literally transforming the people and animals of the city into mindless, maddened creatures. Chris must take on the challenge of discovering the truth behind this evil plot. Promising to revolutionise the series by delivering an unbelievable level of detail, realism and control, Resident Evil 5 is certain to bring new fans to the series. New technology developed specifically for the game, as well as incredible changes to both the gameplay and world of Resident Evil will make this a must-have game for gamers across the globe.

Sorry if already posted i always search.

Jeez that's almost PS3 money.

Same price in Argos if you didn`t want to wait , just add the `Black Wireless Controller and Resident Evil 5` pack to the Elite
#4
You can always sell the extra controller on Ebay for £24.99 inc del buy it now, netting you almost £20 in return, and trade Resident Evil 5 in at CEX if you have one local for £30. Reducing the cost overall to £159.59 which makes a damn cheap 360 elite.

Are you 100% sure people buy it at that price? Last time I checked they didn't.

It pretty much IS PS3 money.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/visit/?m=5&q=348100

You would be better off getting a PS3 too.

No bluray on this xbox?

What in the hell is supposed to justify such a high price tag then? An extra contoller? Wow...

Oh and don't forget the £30 on top of that for a years online play!

It makes the PS3 look cheap.

COLD.

All black elites are falcons, PLEASE DONT BUY.

Get the resident evil elite bundle. That's a jasper.

An additional controller is NOT going to do you any good if your console screws up.
#9
lol @ overyone continually harping on about the Jasper chipset. Do you really think that all of the cooling issues will be solved by Jasper? I think not. Anyone would think that the release of Jasper 360s heralded the second coming of Christ.

Oh, and to whoever posted it, Live membership can be found for half the figure you quoted and I'd still rather pay that per year to actually get a decent online service.

moominshmoomin - I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that the data transfer cables can only be used for transferring data from the 20GB drive to the 120GB due to the program expecting a 20GB source drive. I could be wrong there though and it'd be worth you putting in some Google time researching it.

If you buy an elite, MS will send you a free data migration kit. You just print this form, post it and the kit should be with you in a week or so. Until then you could use your existing hard drive with the elite.

From what i remember the data migration kit can only be used when transferring data to a hard drive of the same size or bigger, i.e you can go from 20Gb->20Gb, 20->60, 20->120, 60->60, 60->120, 120->120.
#13
I wasn't sure on that, I had a quick read up on t'internet before posting and saw people having issues with the standard MS migration kit due to the software expecting a 20GB source drive. Seeings as you get the migration kit free though, it can't do any harm to try I suppose.
#14
Thanks for your replies...will order kit anyway to try.

I paid £160 from littlewoods direct for just the console 3 weeks back but i already had a core system with loads of games it would be £150 if it had tracked in quidco but i will put a ticket in for that. It would have been less as a new customer with the £25-30 off for first time orders this really isn't the best deal around as most people who buy the elite will be upgrading from arcade/core or pro/premium.

The site it sent me to for printing the form came up with a form for the US and i tried this loads of time so i tried faxing it to the number on the form that doesn't exist after banging my head up a brick wall for the best part of the week i rang them up to get one and within 5 days it arrived then the day after another arrived which is better than waiting weeks with this form if you get it to work.

Id link through the uk site which would take me here and it states for US&UK follow the hiperlink and it send you to the form for the states i even typed migration kit UK.

i think this a very good deal / and to let all u ps3 freaks know i sold my ps3 to buy a second xbox so my son could join me online and have certainly not regretted it as we hardly used the ps3 in the first place. the only thing that gutted me was the amount of money i lost when selling it with games & additional hardware - i suppose thats the price u pay when trying to have it all :x
