Edit: when you go to the extend gold part, it should give you a drop down with the options to pay monthly, pay for 3 months and for the year. The year should show the discount.

It's a photo of his Xbox screen. Maybe his gold ran/is running out?

Think it may be customer specific as I had a deal for half price on a months subscription when I logged in an hour or so ago

Targeted marketing, so I guess we need to work out why MrNudge is important to Microsoft.
Answers on a postcard :)

I'm thinking your offered a discount on the length of the last subscription that is expiring. My last one was 3 months and I've been offered 40% off the next 3 months.

Would if rather been offered the 33% off the 12 month, but I'll still take the 3 month deal.

Mine was a 40% off the usual £39.99. Think the offer was for a continuous renew. £23.99 this year, £39.99 next year. But, you can cancel at any time. That'll be just before the £39.99 goes out next year then

If you check the drop down it may offer the cheaper price for the 12 months. It's only today that mine has. I've had £1 for one month offer on for ages and full price for the 12 months. Mine ran out on the 7th. Looked again today and was £23.99 for the 12 months.

Trying to get people hooked for another 12 months as they continue cancelling games and closing studios.

Smart.

I needed to renew my sons last night. Was checking on the microsoft account if the 1 month for £1 was still there, but it wasn't. When i clicked on the 12 months it was on offer for £25.50, ended up paying £26.66.

Could do with this... Mines up on Sunday but I have nothing showing up at all.

Do you realise how often games get cancelled?
Its a shame about Scalebound, but you basically get to hear about 10-20% of the cancellations that actually happen.

I called Xbox and they said there is no discount on offer, last they had was seasonal which finished. Only renewed today too via CDKEYS and o thought that was a good deal for 35 quid but this is excellent if you are fortunate enough to be offered it.
#22
I stacked the 24.99 codes Amazon had a month ago as below 30 quid seems rare these days. Have some heat.

I've had the last 3 months for free, £1, £1 on deals through the dashboard and cancel the auto-renew each time. Will have to check tonight what the latest offer is - or when my current month ends use my Black Friday GAME code

Great deal.
I hung on for as long as I could after missing the blackfriday deals.
Renewed a few days ago on the amazon £35 with free £5 xbox credit deal.
I've just checked on xbox Live gold page on my xbox, and I'm only seeing
1 month 5.99
3 months 14.99
12 months 39.99

Just found my November 2015 cdkeys email - £ 20.99 and another 5% off that - I should have stacked a few of those - absolute bargain

That's good news for me I took a month for £1 expiring on 22nd Jan so will go home for a look. Even if not available to me I've gave heat for the great price
#34
50% off one month for me.
Mine runs out Jan 27.....so yah, hopefully I get the same offer as the OP.
#35
I got the deal yesterday

And Sony just closed their Guerrilla Cambridge studio, it's a cutthroat business unfortunately.

I actually paid 23.99 for 12 months on Xbox dashboard today. My gold expired today after the 14day trial and it offered me for 23.99

I've got a 33% off gold banner on home screen which is £26.50 so might as well renew, I tried the free trial then went with the recent £1 for a month offer which is due to run out in a couple of weeks.

Edit just pulled the trigger and got an extra 10 days, my month for £1 was due to run out on the 2nd Feb and my new renewal is 12th Feb 2018 so happy bunny.
