Went into Argos to see if they have any good deals on XBOX bundle but came across this on their Clearance section instead. It's not on their website nor you would be able to find it at their machine but if you give them catelogue number 928/4999 at till, they should be able to find it.

It has Halo Reach design on packaging but has nothing advantageous for Halo Reach game as far as I know.

It's this one:
http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/16178901/Xbox-Live-12-Month-Gold-Membership-2-Bonus-Months-Halo-Reach-Design/Product.html

I hope you guys think it's a good deal too!

Found this at Oxford city centre.

The Ring and Reserve service on 0845 640 1010 does regonise the number 928/4999 and allows you to check stock but advises it is from an old catalogue.

That's what I thought but for some reasons I couldn't even it's not on their website nor you could order it off their machine. Customer Services could find it using the code on their systems though...

Well I suppose its like Justin Beiber fans. They like him because everyone they know like him. I found that the people who claim xbox live is superior only say that because their friends do.

I've been on Xbox Live for a week now and cannot figure out why its worth paying for over the PS network. Its exactly the same. Some people talk, some people don't and the gameplay is just as smooth on both.

The one thing I prefer with the PS network is that its easier to add friends and also you can sign out of the PSN whenever you want but still be signed in with your profile. On xbox, you cannot sign out xbox live without signing out of your profile.

Sometimes it's good to have a bit of faith in people....not everyone has so much free time to post fake deals to waste other people's time!

Here you go anyway:

I think he's right, in that there's no way to manually sign out of Xbox Live but remain signed in to your profile, short of yanking out your ethernet / wireless. But why you'd care or even want to is beyond me.

What the Playstation does have over the Xbox is gamesharing, but that's neither here nor there..

Just managed to reserve this using the ring and reserve service. It recognised the number but said it was from an old catalogue. Will add this information to the top.

I cannot be bothered to list the millions of reasons why live is better, so here's a picture of a kid who hates sandcastles.

Black Ops is on my list. Been playing BFBC2 on Xbox Live for the past week and I probably don't like the game more than anything. Its so clunky trying to run and look around at the same time. Way better on MW and MW2.

I've got both consoles and anything I want to play online I play on Xbox Live, you have party chat on Xbox live so you can be in different games and still chat, the chat quality is much better, matchmaking on most Live games is considerably better and you have tonnes more extra's from the Xbox live service.

As for playing on Xbox profile and not being on Xbox Live, firstly Why???? how does it make any difference??? and even if you wanted to all you have to do is set your profile to offline... :|

Oh and Heat added btw :)

Setting your profile to appear as offline is not the same as being disconnected from xbox live. I want to sign out of xbox live but still be signed-in using my profile.

Xbox Live is far superior. Have a look at the features that PS3 owners are requesting on Sony's blog: -

http://share.blog.us.playstation.com/

Many of them are things that the 360 has had since launch day.

Cross-game chat (PS3 owners' number 1 request, while even the original Xbox had this)
Cross-game invites in all games
Join session in progress for all games
Live status updates for all games
Private voice chat (multiple channels)
Party mode for up to 8 players
Voice messaging
Inside Xbox
Appear offline option
No need to sync achievements/trophies
Friends only communication option
Mute option for all games
The ability to sign in with multiple gamertags system wide
The ability to use multiple headsets system wide
Reputation system
The ability to change your gamertag
The ability to delete 0% achievement earned games from your list
Windows Live Messenger integration
The ability to queue up content and send/receive messages via Xbox.com
Indie Games
Game Room
Demos of 100% of downloadable games (plus content is cheaper on average on Live)
Much better update system

Do you all know you can get a years membership for £23.99 + get 2 bonus live arcade game from the dash? Sure they make it a pain to leave when signed up that way but still cheaper

ZERO stock, anywhere in glasgow using the phone service!
Hot if you can get it, btw, this was on sale at xmas for £34.99.
#32
Argos do this a lot, they used to sell DVDs a while back, but nobody knew because they weren't in the catalogue or on their website! I bought quite a few for £1.49, there was always plenty of stock!

Stores are supposed to put stuff like this out on display so it will actually be bought, but it depends whether they have space, or are given the right display signage etc. to go with it.

Good find though! Argos is always good for stuff like this, its just knowing where to look.
I love insider information!

Is the person in question wanting to be disconnected because they have illegal chipped theirs? There is no logical reason why youd want to disconnect otherwise....

But if you must, delete connections or turn off router or take wire out.
