I don't care when I get a game, I have patience to wait for the price to come down. Only fools pay more than £20 for a game.
#26
Hot post. Have some heat
#27
According to reports I've read - about 8-10 hours play - but double that if you do all the little side missions as well. (I haven't finished it yet)

Multiplayer online is great fun in my opinion!

Great - ordered 2

I agree with you, however, your point wasn't valid given that the game is STILL in its first phase (i.e. when all the fantics will pay any price just to say they have it!!).

So do you think it will come down in price, do any of the downloads when first released come down in price?

Dunno on this one as its a first of its kind?!?! I suppose we could look at COD4 map pack as an example?!?! That was 800ms points but reguarly gets discounted (as it was last week if I remember correctly), to half that!! As you rightly say, software ALWAYS drops, I can't see this not being subject to a "limited time offer" once sales start to slow down

Not the first of it's kind at all. Paying full price for a game at launch doesn't make one foolish either; it makes one interested in the game/genre/form of entertainment. Have you never been to the cinema, or do you wait until things are in the bargain bin in poundland to watch them?

Look at the Oblivion or Mass Effect DLC for the answer to your question.

Or one to be rather useless with money or impatient (I can fall into both)

Gta 4 is @ £7.99 pre-owned cos there is no market for it well until they released the extra content and it is not worth the money sure a £5 would be a fairer price for the extra few hours worth of play and nothing more but as in all other things the more people that buy it the more people they take the p out of.

So this not the first FULL game (its not just a small expansion) on the Xbox 360 then??? OK, what were the others???

P.S I didnt say that buying at launch makes one (or even two) look foolish, someone has to buy them, just not me, if you want to get scammed for half a games value just to have it at launch then thats your progative, however, you are, and you know it, being fleeced!!!! Perhaps if people didnt rush out and buy at the rip-off prices, games would be more realistically priced in the first place?!?!?!?
#38
This is very good, i had to grab some as there is so much new DLC at the moment, i might get Midnight club DLC now.

Yep. Clearly listed under accessories on the site. Shame. That's actually put me off a little. Think I might sit this one out.

How can it be a full game when you need GTA IV to play it ?????

Oblivion is the best example to how DLC can add value to a game. The Shivering Isles expansion alone adds over 50 hours of extra gameplay.
