got an email from play with the latest offers and noticed this. also noticed the same deal on amazon

3 months gold membership for £9.99 .i know a years membership works out better value, but im new to xbox and have been using the online content quite a bit at the mo, but i dont know if im going to use it all year round, so 3 months will do me for now, and i dont have to give any bank details to ms either

also dont forget to get cashback through topcash

sorry if this has already been posted but i did have a search and couldnt find it.

it is expensive in ways,i have xbox live but i dont use all the add on crap,i just play multiplayer,
i mean they give u stuff thats free anyway for free with GOLD,
yes they give u stuff thats free anyway FREE with GOLD, WTF???

it should be tiered imo

silver- access to films,marketplace dlc
gold - online play,access to films,marketplace dlc
platinum - online play, access to films, marketplace dlc, facebook, last.fm,twitter, all rest of rubbish

charge the current rate for platinum and drop the just online play to half the current price

I only really get chance to play online over the summer holiday (June - September) so 3 months is ideal for me. Ordered. Thanx
#12
a must have for all xbox owners if u play first person shooters like COD or battlefield and sports games like fifa

Is gold only good for online or can you get demos, kid wants to try,is it safe for a 10 year old, thanks.
#14
If you set up another account for 1 free month what happens about your game saves/online ranks. Do you have to start at rank 1 online again on cod etc?

You get demos and stuff earlier I think, but u can get demos anyway if ur just silver. Depends wht games ur 10 year old has, but there would be quite a lot of swearing goes on in the mulitplayer (shooting) games, but then most of them are 15s or 18s. Ive never seen any sort of sex-related stuff going on.

That only works for the first 3 Live enabled gamertags you set up via the console.

I said that exact same thing on the forums and it was like i was the anti-christ. People are just far too happy to pay for a service which gives little back. Then it oddly got into a debate about it should be more price so kids aren't complaining - some people are quite frankly up their own ****.
