A lot of that dlc has never been cheaper.

Personally i think its a pretty good sale for once:

Rock Band Blitz, South Park, Spelunky and all the SEGA collections are new unrepeated deals.
The sleeping dogs, Darksiders 2 and Dead Island DLC is new, and i can finally complete my Forza 4 DLC collection.
Its also good that 1200 point games are for sale @ 600 points. Theres been quite a few lately where they have only been reduced to 800 points.

A lot of people believe DLC is over-priced to begin with!

lol, nope but Lara Croft and Magic 2013 have been on sale plenty of times before!

Sega Vintage: Alex Kidd & Co is actually 3 games; Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Super Hang On and Revenge of Shinobi.

I think I'll be going for Lara Croft and Daytona and possibly a few of the Sega ones dependent on the demos.
Daytona is a super easy 200GS for those into achievement hunting; Golden Axe is an easy 400GS too.

can't left 4 dead 2 be found cheaper? its been out a while now

I searched for it on Gamestracker http://www.gamestracker.com/left-4-dead-2-xbox-360.htm and £11.02 is the cheapest for a used copy, £14.72 new so that seems a pretty good price for a digital copy.
#23
Hmm what is a DLC?!

Hmm what is a DLC?!

Down Loadable Content, which adds to a game, be it story based dlc or multiplayer maps or weapon skins etc
#25
Portal 2 for £11.99 might have to get this game finally.
#26
Spelunky and Monster World collection are well worth having.

Retail copies have been around £15 for some time now.
If you pay by MS points, £11.99 is around 1500 points so ~£10.70 (if 2100 points cost £15).

However retail copies tend to hold its £10 trade-in value well.

Agreed anyone that says different has no idea what they are talking about as I only just purchased rock band blitz for 1200 points last week as I wasn't expecting it to be in any upcoming sale due to its recent release date and now its half-price!

Also Magic is a bargain still playing that after I've completed it and may pick up Spelunky as it looks good.

Protip for Portal 2/L4D2/Dead Island downloads: if you have a friend who you plan to co-op with, (1) sign in to your gamertag on their console and buy the game, then (2) go home, sign in to your own console and re-download it from your download history.

The game will be usable on the console that it was originally downloaded on (with any gamertag) and any console that the gamertag used to purchase it is signed in to, i.e. both yours and your friends, at the same time. One great co-op experience for the price of one game
#34
Are there new deals every day for this promotion?
#35
Shame the FM4 June Pack isn't on there too, but I think I could go for all the FM4 ones plus Daytona.
#36
Nothing worthy of my MSP :(

The price is up and down constantly, Cex were selling it at £15 two years ago 2nd hand now its up to £18 and it was £22 a few weeks ago. I think this game will hold the price steady for another while yet.

Yup, two of many reasons (higher price despite lower costs, ability to resell) to hate Digital Distribution. Other reasons include:
- What happens if the company goes bust? How can you re-download the games you have bought?
- Will the company really keep the game accessible 5/10/20 years down the line?
- You usually can't take the game over to a friend's house to play.
- No competition. Usually the game is only available at one store (XBLA/PSN/Steam/Origin) which means no competitive prices.

I had a massive argument with a couple of people over on Amazon about the same thing and people actually DISAGREE with this!!! I'm not trying to say I'm always right or anything, but I don't see how people can possibly view Digital Distribution as a good thing for consumers (unless they sort out at least some of the 6 problems above) ?????

P.S. I have bought plenty of things on XBLA in the past but not GamesOnDemand except 'Bully' which was much cheaper than retail when it was on offer.
