as it's almost 1/3rd off the rrp for the 3 month sub card, it's a good price for what it is.

Every time! There's always one.

It never occurs to some people that others only need the 3 month package.

no, it is over £10 for 3 months.

if you want one for a year get one for a year, many people don't play their xbox all year round.
#9
One of the cheapest 3 months ive seen...

although im look at buying the 1 year one...
#10
Terrible deal you can buy a Sky pack with a remote, 1 month of sky including sports 1 + 2 and a 3 month card for £14.99 in any shop on the highstreet or argos were doing them for £9.99

I think you have to be an existing Gold subscriber for that offer don't you?

You people are ridiculous, If you buy only 1 or 2 games per year and want to play those games online for a maximum of 2 months at a time, then this would work out far cheaper than £28+ for a years sub, plus you have the added advantage of flexibility. Not everyone has the free time to make a years sub worth it. Also if all you want is a trial then go for this rather than spending out on a full year. Hot from me.

Surely the Sky Sports Entertainment deal at Argos is much better than this?

Costs £9.99, you get 3-months LIVE Gold and 1-month sky player plus the official universal media remote. Far better VFM IMO.
#19
I am also confused as to why this is hot.

You could pick one up from Argos for £9.99 with:
- 3 Month Gold Membership
- Xbox 360 DVD remote
- 1 Month Sky Sports & Entertainment Membership (no Sky subscription required)

So not only is it cheaper, but you get more with it, too. The only advantage I can see is this is delivered to your door.

Perhaps if you don't have an Argos nearby (or they don't stock it) then fair enough, I guess...
#20
I agree with the above.

I got the Sky Player pack which came with a free 3 month Xbox Live for only £9.99.

I would recommend passing on this and going with the Argos deal or waiting for something better if it's out of stock in your area.
#21
Yeah I managed to nab 4 Sky player packages from various Argos stores and now I have a 1 year of Gold, 4 months of Sky sports & 4 remotes for which GAME gave £2 each for only £39.96.
#22
Cheaper deal available.
#23
This is £7.50 somewhere else on this site I think...

What many people don't understand is this is via credit card, meaning you have to phone m$ up to cancel your XBL before the 3 month runs out, otherwise you will be charged £15 for the next three months. This is often a very annoying process and is worth avoiding.

Also, the 'Sky player entertainment pack' is actually much better value, but this is still quite good for what it is. Heat added.
#25
Forget what others have said about the equating year-long prices. I really don't find just over £10 for 3 months a hot deal, it isn't bad, but it isn't particularly good either.

PS: Off topic, but a query, I've been "voting" today, but my votes don't appear to change the temperature, has this been happening with anyone else?
#26
This is cheap for 3 months as it is £15 on average everywhere else - but not wortrh the hassle if you have to do unsubcribe and all that . so hot and not from me i just buy 12 months for £25(_;)

You don't have to do that anymore.
Microsoft fixed that a while back.

My current xbox gold subscription is about to expire, been looking for a 3month deal and this seems to be the best 3monther about at present.I seen the post about a £7.50 deal on xbox live marketplace, under the spotlight tab apparantley, but that deal is only for silver members, wishing to upgrade to gold status,or if your already on a gold membership and are looking to renew, this wont appear as a deal for gold members....gonna take a punt on this for £10 for 3 months seems reasonable enough since for the last 3 months, ive updated month by month at a fiver on marketplace.

How long do you have left on your subscription? Can't you just let it expire so you downgrade to silver then go and upgrade via the XBOX Marketplace for £7.50?

Out of stock in every Argos around my area (10 stores), a good deal for someone like me who doesn't want to fork out £30 for a whole year for my son when I don't know if he'll even be interested in a months time!! Shame though as the Argos deal would have been perfect...
