How do I stop the autorenewal please?
I don't think this is. It's part of Microsoft's promotion to get people to go to Gold. The write up for it on the page says it's for people who want to try out Gold, it looks like the fact it's available to everyone is an accident.
You'll lose nothing for looking. The OP even gives the exact instructions to get to the page.
How do I stop the autorenewal please?
Xbox.com -> Sign In -> My Account -> Then it should say 'Automatic Renewal: On(Change)' to the right of your Avatar. Click on that to turn it off.

Can't find it, I can go into account management but it won't let me remove my payment info as it says its attached to a current subscription.
