Seems like a good deal to me - 20 quid for a camera, 30 quid for 12 months live. Add quidco for 5%, students and VIPs can get another 10%, making this deal as low as 42.49! (Just quidco is 47.49).

=========================

Previously, we've only ever been able to speak to our web companions using the 360 headset. Now with the gift of the XBOX Live Vision Camera, we will be able to see each other as well, using the latest must-have add-on for the console. Yes, you'll truly be able to look your competitor in the eye as you gun them to the ground, blast them into oblivion, or simply defeat them in a humble sports match across the internet.

The XBOX Live Vision Camera will also be available to use offline, with a line up of games expected which will respond to your movements based on how you interact with the camera. Stay tuned for more details, anyone who's played on a PlayStation 2 EyeToy should know what to expect.

The XBOX Live Vision Camera camera seamlessly integrates with the Xbox 360 system and Xbox Live network to bring interactive social gaming to life. The camera allows gamers to personalize their gaming experience with their own unique gamer picture, send photo messages, and chat by video with friends and family over Xbox Live.

Also Includes a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live Gold membership, offering endless online gameplay, loads of great downloads and the ability to communicate to friends all over the world by video, speech or text across Xbox Live!

=====================

As its the Live Vision pack, I'll assume it'll come with all the usuals - code for Uno etc.

I think £50 is a fairly standard price for this, but 10% off is good if you have NUS discount.
#2
Well lets see £33 is the best online 12month with 10% quidco so thats £29.70 and you can pick the camera up for about £18 now

But then quidco brings your offer to £42

Good price if you have quidco -- overpriced if you dont

Nice of you to post links to these items, dandoc2. Very nice... /sarcasm.

A 13 month live code is around £18 (just the code, emailed to you) on eBay US. They are region free so should work with a UK Xbox 360.

I'm going to pick this deal up however, as I have been after a camera.

It should also come with the Uno Xbox Live Arcade game.

They are not region free, and do not work with a UK account. They will only work if you set up a new (US) account and thereafter you can only associate a US credit card with the account and can only use US codes to lengthen the subscription on your account.

hmm they do work, i got one last year.

I've been in a similar situation - US MS points are 1/2 price compared to ours. My g/f has a US debit card, so we bought points with it, but had to set up a new live account, with a US hotmail.

Since I got my NUS card, the 10% discount and quidco on HMV points makes it about the same cost as US points. Downside is that the games I purchased with the US points are stuck to a gamer account I only use when I need another account signed in. Upside is, I've completed all the XBLA games that I bought on that account =D

Reports of buying codes over ebay have been mixed - it seems recently that codes are now in the process of being restricted to region. MS cannot guarantee any code bought over ebay, too.

This pack has ben on HMV forever.
But HMV being HMV their delivery is god-awful.

I have an HMV student card (you dont need that NUS shite) and used quidco.

Any time i have ordered it, its went to the "On order from our suppliers" and i gave up waiting.
Thats with their "Usually shipped in 24hrs" on their website still there.
If you order be careful if you need it this year.

I thought MS points were region locked but Live subscription codes were region free?

In the past few months, people have been purchasing US subscription codes on Ebay and they have not worked with UK accounts. As far as I'm aware, points have always been region locked (so that any videos & films purchased through xbox live are also region locked).

I've probably ordered 300+ GBP from HMV since christmas, even with NUS discount, and never had a problem with delivery.
