I realise the £99.99 Argos deal with free game is still active - but thought I'd share this in case someone did not want one of the games (or could not be bothered to sell one).

Did you know that Argos is selling this for £99.99 with a choice of game including gears of war 4, dead rising 4, halo 5 or Forza 3 for £99.99? Also whilst Tesco has decided to stop giving cashback, argos is currently offering 8.8% (£8.80) back on your purchase if you pay for fast track? :)

Voted this deal hot but that one is definitely much better.

inb4: Why would anyone pay £100 for a controller?

Why own a £800 phone? Why own an expensive high-end car? Why buy so many games? Why buy branded clothing over generic? Why, why, why!

People have their tastes and preferences. That's why.

Not sure if that £10 incentive offer from Quidco on orders of £50+ from certain retailers including argos is still on or not but that can make things even better :)

Click & collect might help someone get it quicker ... and could return it to Tesco if there was a fault. I realise there are other deals - but posted in case someone prefers to buy like this.

Sorry, I've always imagined retailers as different individuals :p

I prefer Argos service better as they would exchange it straight away even the consoles whereas tesco tells you to contact the manufacture first

but... Why would you buy this? I've used one a couple times at my mates house, it's seriously not worth the cost of three regular controllers unless you're a rich loner

Not any more it's £119.99 for the controller and there's still the free game, but I suspect that will end soon as well.
The elite has been OOS near me for the best part of a week anyway.

Cause the £100 controller has a headphone jack.... that's literally the only difference between the £45 and £100

You couldn't make this up

if you want to use on a PC - you'll have to buy an extra dongle - a purchase which will wipe out the money you'll get for selling off the free game - so it's an expensive toy which hasn't even got bluetooth ........ @vocare88 - you're strictly not correct - but I agree with your sentiments - in real terms (in my opinion ) this is worth at most £60.00

Is that a serious comment?

personally find the paddles useless, but the hair triggers are handy, the weight and feel are awesome.would pay a premium over a standard pad,but no way is it a 120 quid pad

I have the elite controller, I've also played with the standard controller, and the new S controller (I have the gears edition).
The elite is the best hands down, I struggle to play with the gears of war S controller because it feels so cheap and slippery. The shoulder button feels as though you haven't pressed it because there isn't a proper 'click'
I perform better at games like gears of war 4 with the elite controller, it has a more grippy front and rear. The weight and quality of it are tangible.
I bought it from Argos for £99 with £10 Quidco (£89)
I sold the game for £34 on eBay so got about £27 after fees and delivery.
That's means I've paid an effective £62 for the elite pad I currently have.

That statement is entirely subjective. Like Spasho said, why would anyone buy anything? Because they want to. It's that simple. I own one. Think it is worth every penny I paid. Which one of us is right? Both and neither.

Don't be sorry. You are quite right. Argos Limited is a company and, therefore, a separate legal entity, not entities.

All the new Xbox one S style controllers have a headphone jack.
