Can I justify spending that much on controller? Can't :(

Nice.

What's 'nice' about spending £70 on a used controller?

People this is the Elite version of the controller with flipper buttons at the back

And they sell for quite a bit on Amazon if you want a new one

The Elite is a fantastic controller, feels great to use. I'd recommend buying new if the price is right, I got the Argos deal a few months back, the controller and BF1 for £125. Dunno about buying second hand, even for this price, but can't praise the Elite highly enough

Any topcashback or student discount with these people?

Being on my 4th elite controller in the last 12 months i would definetly not buy a used one, get new from game comes with 12 month warranty you get only 90 days with microsoft. Even though i love the feel and weight of the elite controller the left anologue always ends up getting a drift and is useless when you need acuracy for anything or i have just had 3 dodgy batches.

damn what do you do to them? Have you tried just reseting the controllers firmware when you get drift?

i have had one for a few years, no issues and my spare is fine to.

Considering there have been deals lately for the console and controller for £199 or the controller alone for £79 I don't see why anyone would be mental enough to pay so much for a used one. Even if they've steam cleaned it and soaked it in alcohol it's been used and you don't know who by or what for...

Yes the deals no longer exist so if you're not willing to wait around for another to appear and don't mind settling for second hand it's an okay price I suppose. The whole comes in a plain box isn't exactly appealing either. Part of the overall price is the fancy packaging etc. that encourages you to look after your controller!

You can purchase on Very for £119 and use £20/30 off first spend and get a new one for £99/89 depending what codes are working at moment and not having a current very account which would be a better option if there are still £30 codes going about. Do need to take it on credit but can pay it off interest free whenever you want after you've received your first statement.

The Elite hasn't been available for a few years. You must be talking about the standard controller.
I don't own an Elite - wanted one initially. But look around and you find a ton of issues reported, including left stick drift (hardware issue, not firmware), weak triggers/paddles, and a general degradation of responsiveness after a few months.

I'm still using my xbox 360 controllers for PC. Now those you can kick around a room.
They're like 1998 Nokias :D

Well whenever they were released. I had drift on the left stick, i redid the firmware and it went away. In the UK you have a minimum six month warranty from any retailer under law, technically alot longer but you have to prove its not your fault and its more effort.

All i can say is mine has been fine and I have easily used it for 300+ hours, as that is close to the time spent R6 Siege alone.

I wish i knew what i was doing with them lol but trust me im not the only one ill always side with recommending the controller just i would get longest warranty available for me thats been game, i have not tried resetting firmware on latest controller i think these devices are programmed to break on me lol as for keeping away from kids, i have no kids the controller is always in its elite box when not in use i think i could just be heavy handed but i never had an issue with 360 controllers. and im not saying its going to happen to everyone just a heads up hate to be that guy 91 days into his warranty with microsoft and it happens to him for sake of £20 id rather have peace of mind but thats just me too.
