I realise this is not the best price, but this appears to be available for store collection now, does anyone know if it will be allowed before Thursday? Called CS and they said it could be collected anytime today or tomorrow.

I realise it is cheaper elsewhere, I was just wondering if they would be allowed to sell it 2 days before release.

Under distribution terms they wouldnt be allowed to do it early but I guess if they do then they are in breach accidently/or not of microsofts terms

Even if they do, FIFA 17 won't be available on EA Access until Thursday.

They do price match with Tesco including codes as far as I know, has to be in stock for available pickup or delivery though, so Im not sure how that would go here, maybe Ill give them a call.

I called them, at first they said it was not available, then they said it was after second time checking, however they would not price match as they said tesco needed stock available to buy now. Will be waiting till Thursday as i dont want Fifa 17 anyway and i have vouchers to use at currys/pcworld.

Ive just picked one up, will get them to price match on Thursday as you have 7 days after you have bought it as well.

I'm guessing despite owning the game they won't let you play it without EA Access until next week? That sucks.

I tried earlier but they wouldn't sell it too me or price match, was worth a try though!

That's what I was wondering, and how strictly they are enforced/adhered too.

Correct. The game is a digital code which will unlock on 00:01 on 29/9. The EA Access 1 Month code allows you to play the game a week early (10 hours play).

the sales colleague will lose their job and the store manager will face disciplinary from head office.
worked at a currys digital in my home town a few years back. we were warned about selling stuff before its official release, the till system is rigged so that it scans thru at £99999 before release.
so anyone selling one before release date is breaking not onlt the T&C of their employment contract, but also screwing over the till too.
instant dismismal.
