I still have Halo, Fable and the Max Payne's, and bought San Andreas when it was 400 points a few months ago.

I'm not sure I'd pay 800 points for any of these even if I didn't (you can get them cheaper on disc), but if having the games on your console floats your boat, this is decent.

Some of them you might be able to get cheaper but Stubbs the Zombie seems to be about £12 and up and this would be around £6.

Though I imagine the PC version of it might be cheap too.

I played Black on the PS2 a few years ago but I remember it being a great game. The last part of the game was tough to do. Took me ages!

I wish Psychonaunts was part of the deal

Burnout 3..... ahhhh, Takedown was the best in the series. I read a rumour that they wanted to make an HD remake at some stage.

I still play Black on my Xbox to this day. You can get it for £6 from CEX if you prefer the disc. Great game that really pushed the capabilities of the old Xbox.

Is it for Goldmember only?

I still play Black and Burnout 3 on the PS2, I was tempted to get the xbox versions but I don't think they're any different. I also want Halo, but because I use the 360 through a VGA connection it won't work. :(

As for prices, when I was looking for a copy of Halo I was seeing them go for relatively high Ebay prices, so 800msp may actually work out cheaper. Not sure about the others, but it is convenient to have them on the 360.

The only other thing to be mindful of is that they are emulated, and so may not be perfect renditions. They mention it in the terms and conditions, so it might be worth checking. Halo not working on VGA 360's could be potentially a waste of points if it doesn't work for you.

It appears not, I've just gone to;

http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/Product/Halo-Combat-Evolved/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d53084c?cid=search

And it comes up with 800 points before I've logged into my account. Offers that are gold only usually show up after you log in.

I still play Black, they should do a 360 version!
#14
Might treat myself to Burnout 3. Probably my favourite game on the original Xbox
#15
Don't bother buying black, it's a very mediocre shooter. Burnout 3 Takedown is a great game and the best in the series in my opinion. GTA San Andreas, Halo and first Fable are also worth considering but bear in mind most of these can be had really cheaply at the you local CEX or even Game and the original discs will play on you xbox 360. I've tried Burnout 3 and Black on my old elite and they work flawlessly.

Sold burnout 3 on ebay on monday (had bought it on disk cos wouldn't pay 1200 MSP for it). Couldn't get back into it after all these years :/

Had it on ps2 years back as well but only finished about 80%, would only count as complete if I'd got gold! That euroracer F1 burning lap was impossible

San Andreas is worth having as a download, only problem with all of these is you can't transfer the save file if you change 360.

Surely better to buy the disc which is cheaper, can be used on multiple consoles and you can always resell later? Do you get everything on the downloads like fmv etc? Some of the xbox games are pretty big and it could be a large download. When I installed shenmue 2 onto my xbmc xbox it was 4gb I wouldn't want to have to wait to download that much on my connection. It would be like 2-4hrs I guess.

Amazon, CEX and a few other shops are good sources of cheap xbox games.

Recommend Timesplitters 2 as CEX were doing it for 50p at one point.

Timesplitters 2 can't be played on 360

XBOX games can't be installed to HDD from the disk - i always install games to hard drive to minimise noise.

You can download to multiple consoles but either way can't move your savegame.

i have crash bandicoot and gta san andreas and rarely play them i wish i hadnt spent 2400 points on them lol.

halo and grabbed by the ghoulies i have on disc, ive been meaning to stick them on ebay for ages but i guess i might have to wait until this sale is done.
#20
i picked halo 1 & 2 from cex a few weeks ago for 9 pound , id try cex for original xbox games
#21
Dont bother with Halo, the remastered HD version will be out at the end of the year :)
#22
Are there achievements with originals?
#23
A bitter reminder of games that have not aged well :p

As a reference point: I would still jump at the chance to play Half Life 2 yet again.

uhm can someone tell me what day this deal expires please?

Thank you : )
#25
Thinking of getting Fable - never had an original xbox. Would it be worth it, or should I just jump into F2?

I believe there is a 360 version of 'The Orange Box' which contains it?

That explains the 50p price then. Shame great game. Mace Griffin is also a nice xbox only first person shooter that goes for 50p and isn't 360 compatible for those still using original xboxes for xbmc or emulation.

I tried to play it with a mate (gamecube version) on a wii with GC controllers a couple of months back. Loved it back in the day but things have moved on so much, the controls didn't seem accurate and everything was just too fast.

Good deal might have to buy san andreas seeing as its my favourite GTA game ever made!
(It's £10 in cex and not much cheaper on Amazon etc so for 800mp good deal)
