Its new on the marketplace but hasnt been listed on any of the deals pages. So no idea how long it will be that price. Best to snap it up if you want it.

Anyone who picked up the telltales collection had a problem with the Tales from the borderlands season pass not downloading?

It has done that for a lot of people, even before the collection was released Telltale are aware of the issue and did try to fix it with a patch but it did not work, so it's wait and see at the moment for another patch.

Seems fairly meh, outside Telltale collection

Yep, you're right. It's massively overpriced at any rate though.

Still shows as £54.99 for me. Bizarre.

Destiny seems to be £37.49 on the 360, but still £54.99 on the One. For me at least.

I believe you can buy the 360 version and get a free upgrade to the One version, so it's effectively £37.49 on the One. If the free upgrade thing is correct, and hassle-free.

It is yes. It will immediately unlock the Xbox One version on your account for you.

Heat added, btw.
Will get The Wolf Among Us when I get home. (Damn but I wish we could still buy content on the website using MS credit! Not sure why they killed that as a payment option.)

You can as long as your account balance matches or exceeds the cost of the item. It is a bit silly though admittedly.

I've not been able to do that for the last couple of years.
I have over £60 credit on my account, but have just tried to buy TWAU and it just keeps telling me to add a new payment option.
(I don't have a credit card linked to my account. I used to, but when I tried to buy a game a year or two back using my MS credit it charged my card instead, so I unlinked the card. And complained to MS, who gave me a full refund, but told me you you can no longer pay for games on the website using MS currency. I took them at their word, but perhaps they lied and it's just me oO )

EDIT - Oh. Just tried again, and it worked fine. Not sure what that's all about then! X)
Don't mind, me folks. Nothing to see here - just move along and ignore my breakdown!

Yeah, just be careful though. If you do have a card registered and buy something that's £12.00 for example but you already have £11.98 on your account balance then it will charge the entire £12.00 to your card and leave the balance of £11.98 alone. I found that out the hard way earlier this year. It's a bit ridiculous tbh.

It's about time the head of xbox Marketplace was replaced by someone from Steam's management.
Tidy up the payment methods, improve the browsing experience, and hopefully slash the prices.

A guy can dream.

shame the back to the future season isn't included??

You are kidding me, right? Steam probably has the worst customer service and most anti-consumerist policies of any major platform holder these days.

Maybe, but they are dirt cheap in comparison to XBLA prices.
#34
I guess it's down to priorities and point of view.
To my mind you can't get much more consumer friendly than having cheap prices and regular sales (via first and third party), compared to MS who almost always charge more for digital games than their physical counterparts* - and I've always found browsing/searching for games much easier on Steam (via client, or browser) than via xbox or browser. But Steam maybe has major flaws that I'm not aware of. My experience with them is limited. I have an account, and a decent catalogue, but I very rarely go near my pc and it's too decrepit to play most of the games I have anyway - I do 99% of my gaming on the xbox.

*Current deal excepted, natch.

Speaking of - my apologies to the OP for taking the thread off topic!

Very different platform though. It's a hell of a lot cheaper to publish games on the PC than it is on consoles.

If you ever buy a Steam game that doesn't work through no fault of yours then try asking them for a refund. The real Valve soon starts to emerge whenever that word is uttered. They've waved the ban hammer against long-standing customers in the past just for disagreeing with their customer support agents.
#37
I stand corrected - I've never had to deal with their CS nor heard of others with problems, so wasn't aware there was a problem there.
#38
Definitely with Spark. Heard many a horror story on for Steam although never having to deal with them (that said I do have a huge steam library). I've had to deal with Xbox CS a couple times, and each time was rather pleasant. Last time they even gave me a code for 3 months live due to an issue with a year subscription that had been cancelled on my brothers account. The account was maybe down... 2-3 days tops? Wouldn't DREAM of anything near that for steam :P

On topic, looks like I might gave to pick up Spec Ops at £3, achievement hunter in me feels compelled ;)

I was told the same thing too, haven't been able to use account credit on the site for years either. I tried there now in case they changed something but it comes up with the same 'add new payment option', even though I have enough credit in my account to make the purchase.
