Hello all. First deal I've ever posted so I hope I do it right and it's of interest to some.

I paid over £50 for this adapter less than two months ago.

It is now available for £11.90 + shipping (around £5) and any customs charges (I doubt there will be any at this price).

I've no idea why it has become so cheap but as far as I know Renchi are reputable.

This adapter allows you to use the wired Xbox 360 pad on a PS3. I know many prefer the 360 version.

I myself have been using it for weeks now and it works brilliantly.

No mate it doesn't but I think there are others that do that . As for arcade sticks I am not entirely sure, sorry.

Cheers. I would normally go read up online myself but thought best to ask someone who owns one for the definitive answer.

I'm almost certain one exists that allows you to use a PS2 pad which of course is almost identical . I agree, for certain types of games such as football ones you can't beat Sony pads.

Having never played a football game bar Fifa 08 which I got a few weeks back in a deal what exactly is the main advantage of an Xbox pad in this instance? I am curious now as I would like to get a bit better with Fifa instead of only letting in goals all the time.

For driving/shooting games, IMO, the 360 pad is perfect because of the layout as well as the feel of the triggers. When you play with the Sony there is a marked difference. However, fighting/football games is where the Sony excels and the 360 pad is useless because of the poor d-pad.

Mallinersha, that makes alot of sense. However, this version works perfect and I still feel this represents an excellent deal as it cost me £50+ only a few weeks ago!
