Is this a good gift for a hubby who's not that great at DIY? :)

An Xbox controller may be a better alternative, there are two kinds of man, DIY man and gamer man (_;)

I bought one of these last year and it is superb. Yes some of the assessoires are crap but the drill and is great and so are some of the assessories. I used it to cut through cast iron soil pipe, copper pipe, trim the plug sockets of my perspex splashback. it really is good!

this looks pretty neat for just over fifteen squid

i paid £25 for a similar set and thought that was a good price. i use mine quite a bit, managed to fix a whole bunch of stuff

I agree with tighty.

I have a proper dremel, & would not be without this kit, i have tackled so many diy jobs with it that would remain untouched otherwise.

fitting new letterboxes into upvc doors,
cutting pipe, poly, copper, etc,
Sanding pipes & rough ends.
cutting off locks / padlocks,
fine pin hole requirements in wood.
pre-drilling holes ready for enlarging, to mark positions.
grinding cement away from fireplace.
rust removal
chainsaw teeth & mower sharpening.
general axe sharpening.
teaching the daughter to use power tools at an early age (fits in her hands)
tile grout removal

most used tool in the house.

Unfortunately not as this is a daily deal, However that OP has changed his price from £19.98 to today's price.

Similar to a dremal but the build quality isn't there. It's a 5th of the price though so you can't expect miracles.
Yes, it will cut through a PC case. Depending on what but you use obviously.

I have the lidl one and its a great bit of kit, almost worth buying this just for the tools though....
#14
Any better option for those of us that already have the tool and just want the accessories?

I agree the Lidl ones (which are only available a few times a year...to be fair) are excellent and seem just as good as the branded item for about £15.

Ordered. Thanks

Was thinking about getting a tool like this so at this price its a no brainer. Thanks OP :)
#20
Good value, ordered. Even though I have a Dremel, the Dremel accessories are expensive and these will probably be OK and for £16.98, what's there to argue about?
#22
does anyone with experience of these types of tools reckon I could use it to cut through metal screws which I can't unscrew?
1 Like #23
Don't see why not, as long as you use the heavy duty bits.
#24
in that case, ordered. Thanks.

wanted one a few months ago to have a go at a heatshield on my exhaust but just persevered with tin snips, said to myself when one of these comes up cheap i'll get it just in case.

most used tool in the house I feel sorry for Mrs Gus :p

My lidl one has the stand and flexible shaft, yet to use them though.
#28
It says you can change the brushes easily. How and where do you buy them from ?
#29
Great find, many thanks :o)
#30
Have one of these, very good set, but the drill bits are crappy. Heat added!
#31
I have this in red. Gets a lot of use but mainly just the cutting bits and the filing bits. It works well but the shank tends to come loose a lot, which causes the attachments to wobble and eventually fall out.
#32
Blimey!!! ordered it yesterday when this was posted.
it's already been delivered! free postage too.
#33
Got mine today, very quick delivery and kit looks good
#34
Yes they sent mine the next day, Saturday Delivery.
#35
Got it a week later, delivered by good old Yodel..bottom corner all smashed in & contents in chaos, now got to wait for the laborious Ebuyer returns process to send me a new one in another weeks time, wish l'd got one from Amazon now.:(
#36
Have been dicked around for the entire week by yodel - still no delivery, just a string of lies about leaving cards (I was here the whole time and no visits, nothing has been left whatsoever). I'm demanding a refund from ebuyer as they simply won't deliver, I'm banning them as a supplier until they dump this courier; I recommend everyone ban ebuyer until they take delivery seriously.
#37
Just cancelled my order due to non-delivery by yodel. Ebuyer will take at least a week to return my money, perhaps longer - they were polite enough on the phone but this delay and the complete inaction of their delivery agent gives me zero confidence in this supplier, one to avoid.
