2 hours of playback is a bit crappy, as long as Xenta is made properly its pretty good. I paid around 99 for a hyundai with similar spec (and 2 hour battery!) about a year ago, so its a good saving

actually, I didnt get a swivel,foldback screen!

even better deal!

Good spot.

Will it hang up on the sunvisor in the front? Or be put on the headrest in the back?

Really can't see the point with tiny battery capacity. Struggle to watch one film.

car or mains adaptor then!

a decent machine with about 4 hours or more life costs about as much as a laptop!

Not much good on a flight. The 5hr sony one for £99 on amazon is better, but only 7"

The 9" 6hr sony is a tad expensive at £199

Netbook battery times drop massively when viewing video though.

true, I have a dell mini 10v 3 cell, first thing i did was run a couple of divx movies (on hard drive not dvd) and got 3 hours almost to the minute, which is what was quoted by dell as an average running time

the samsung has 6 cell, and might likely do near 6 hours

Got this for my eldest for Xmas. It's a very good portable DVD. Screen is good and in real-world usage we get about 2:45 out of the battery. Swivel and foldback feature is handy in a variety of situations. I was concerned that this might be just another thing to break, but it seems sturdy enough. Plays Divx off USB stick OK (and I think it does Xvid too although the box didn't have a tick next to this).

The only slightly annoying thing it is styled to look like the speakers sit proud just under the swivel-screen, but they're actually on the underside of the unit. When it's sitting on, say, a mattress for in bed viewing the sound can be slightly muffled and quieter than expected because of this. Headphones are the obvious solution...

Also, It's been this price for ages so perhaps not a 'deal' as such, but I'm voting hot anyway.

Its a good piece of kit considering the wee extras you get with it.

I bought the 7'' version from eBuyer and I'm quite happy with it. I don't think that it is mentioned in the manual but it also supports subtitles (not all types but definitely .srt). Also it looks great when connected to the TV and plays most of the files I throw at it. The only annoyances are that it doesn't seem to charge while it is on and also it can be slightly noisy if you don't use headphones.

decent price
i bought a simlar size and spec acoustic solutions one from argos 2 years ago for £59.99,nice bargain at the time and was well pleased and battery lasted over 3 hours,2 years later its unusable as the battery now lasts about 45mins:x

I'm assuming the battery is internal otherwise could always replace it with an OEM?

Think I have the same here... black version with swivel screen. I use a car adaptor on travel & seems to be fine :)

any idea what the screen resolution is for these? The ebuyer website doesn't say and lots of people have asked the same question, but no reply from ebuyer.
